The program will step through a high level outline of HIPAA Privacy and Security Rules to ground the context for designing "Good Practices" in compliance.

The presenter will show how you can develop a risk-based assessment of your program and identify opportunities for enhancing it. It will include the creation of a framework for thinking about Health Information whether it is in transit or static and how to evaluate existing controls to protect this data.
