As the incidence of melanoma continues to rise rapidly in the U.S. and around the world, the need to educate clinicians on the disease also increases. During this course nationally recognized experts will present information on prevention, risk assessment, early detection, genetic factors, and current and future treatment choices for melanoma patients. Issues concerning surgical management, adjuvant therapy, advanced disease therapy, and personalizing the course of treatment for individual patients will also be discussed. In addition to the clinical aspect of this course, participants will hear from melanoma survivors and learn more about the psychological affects of the disease and how they can assist their patients in all aspects of treatment. This course is specifically designed for a multidisciplinary view of the care of the melanoma patient.Conference highlights include:
