At the conclusion of the Biennial Meeting, attendees will be able to:-
Discuss cervical cancer and its precursor lesions to include the epidemiology and natural history, screening methods, management and the causal role of HPV (medical knowledge);

Discuss HPV to include the biology, epidemiology, natural history, and immune response of HPV, as well as understand the costs to society and to the individual of HPV infections (medical knowledge);
-
Better appreciate the usefulness and limitations of colposcopy in the management of lower genital tract disease (medical knowledge);
-
Tailor guidelines for cervical disease screening and management of cervical abnormalities to women in both the general population and in special circumstances using evidence derived from epidemiology and natural history studies (systems-based practice, practice-based learning, patient outcomes, medical knowledge);

Manage women with lower genital tract disease from special populations, especially adolescent, postmenopausal, and underserved women, with insight into special problems encountered including HPV-related anal disease (medical knowledge, practice-based learning, patient outcomes, systems-based practice);

Apply HPV DNA testing and relevant diagnostic tests to clinical practice in a directed and cost-effective manner (medical knowledge, practice-based learning, patient outcomes, systems-based practice);

Understand the efficacy and limitations of the HPV vaccines and be able to discuss with their colleagues and patients (medical knowledge, interpersonal communications);

Integrate into practice new insights from the latest research on diagnosis and management of lower genital tract disease (medical knowledge, practice-based learning); and,

Discuss and appropriately apply treatment options for lower genital tract disease to include cervical, vaginal, vulvar, and anal intraepithelial neoplasia, genital warts, and other vulvar and vaginal diseases (medical knowledge, practice-based learning, systems-based practice).
