The trade fair first edition happened in 1986, at Parque da Gameleira with the name of FINELETRO. From 1988 to 2002, it took place at Minas Centro. In 2004, in its 10th edition, it was renamed to FIIEE International Electric and Electronic Industry Trade Fair Minas Gerais and was the responsible for the Expominas inauguration, where it happens until today.The FIIEE MG was created from the need to attend the increasingly market demand in Minas Gerais, which has about 20% of the electric energy generation installed capacity in the Country, and a distribution net of more than 315 thousand km.
The Minas Gerais potential in the electric and electronic sectors is enormous and a specific event in this segment was needed.
