Military satellite networks aid the military with C4ISR objectives. As transmitters of indispensable data, satellite networks are essential to the optimization of DoD interoperability and net-centricity. Net-enabled operations between platforms such as UAVs and Software Defined Radios are essential to the completion of C4ISR objectives. As a result, the DoD is dedicated to meeting military satellite communication program requirements by creating partnerships with industry experts. IDGA s Military Satellites aims to address issues and provide solutions to the advancement of newer and more powerful systems for future operations in order to foster new partnerships between government and industry professionals. Specific issues to be discussed at the 2010 conference include:
Current generation vs. next generation satellite networks
Closing the gap between project requirements and resources
Multinational Information Sharing (MNIS)
Space Based Infrared Systems (SBIRS)
Bandwidth capabilities and requirements
