Ophthalmic Pathology for Ophthalmologists (5208) 2010This course is designed to enhance the basic understanding of disease of the eye by examing tissue changes associated with common and important ophthalmic entities.  The course is organized  to benefit practicing ophthalmologists, residents-in-training for ophthalmology and surgical pathology, practicing neuropathologists and practicing surgical pathologists. 
This five-day course will emphasize `Pathologic Processes of Ocular Disease` during the first three days of the five day course and will emphasize `Oncology in Ophthalmology` in the last two days of the course.

All lectures are given by experienced and active experts in their respective fields.  The lectures are richly illustrated with clinical photographs, imaging studies, light microscopy (including immunohistopathology), ultrastructure and molecular biological features of clinical significance.

NOTE:  Each participant will be given the syllabus on CD. There will be no printed Syllabus. The syllabus will also be available on www.askafip.org.

By attending this course, attendees will gain enhanced knowledge of: - The pathology of common ocular diseases. - Basis concepts and factual data concerning the pathologic anatomy of the eye and ocular adnexa. - Basic histopathologic, histochemical, immunohistochemical, and ultrastructural features of ophthalmic disorders.
