Last year the Australian Government announced that it would spend
$1.1 billion on a range of initiatives to provide disadvantaged students
with support to improve educational outcomes.In the higher education sector, the Federal Government’s goal for 20 per cent of HE enrollments to come from low socio-economic status background’s, is still high on the agenda for 2020. In addition, $108 million has been set aside to facilitate Partnership Activities between universities, schools and vocational education and training providers, to assist in attracting low SES students into higher education.
