3rd Trade Fair for the water and sewage industryMore than 90 exhibitors from Poland as well as from Germany, Russia and Denmark were brought together at the TIWS fair in Kielce, exhibiting their latest products for the water and sewage sector. The three-day-long event was visited by almost 1,300 representatives of water and sewage companies, experts on water treatment and sewage disposal infrastructure; suppliers of special equipment, materials as well as laboratory instruments; in addition to secondary school and university students and representatives of trade publications. The Fair was offered support from the Minister of Environment, Maciej Nowicki.
The opening on the Fair, held on 6th October 2009, was marked by a conference on "Tradition and Contemporary Solutions in the Development of Water and Sewage Infrastructure with EU Subsidies Being Used". The conference addressed investment projects relating to water and sewage infrastructure. Considerable attention was given to EU subsidies, which can be used for financing many necessary environmental projects. The key speeches were delivered, among others, by university lecturers, industry experts, as well as representatives of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Warsaw. Among the addressed issues was the 80th anniversary of the establishment of the water supply company operating in Kielce, Wodociągi Kieleckie
