On behalf of our colleagues of the Executive Committee of the European Crystallographic Association we cordially invite you to attend the 26th European Crystallographic Meeting which will be held in the congress center of Darmstadt in the middle of Germany from the 29 August to 2 September 2010.
Just before, the European Powder Diffraction Conference EPDIC 12 will be organized at the same venue (August 27–30).
We emphasize that the overlap of the two events will persuade many of you to attend the two main crystallographic manifestations in Europe. Both meetings will follow their traditional rules; while ECM is covering all disciplines of crystallographic structure research from nanoparticles to biological macromolecules, EPDIC concentrates on methodological developments and materials.
Of course in any case a crystal structure has to be seen in correlation with chemical and physical properties. Coverage will be provided for materials for energy storage and conversion, for surface sciences, chemical reactivity or the interactivity on molecules with proteins or pharmaceuticals.
This wide range of topics will be covered by 16 keynote speakers and 47 microsymposia at the ECM 26 and 6 plenary lectures and 18 microsymposia by EPDIC 12. Special attention will be paid to young scientists. The organizing committee will provide bursaries for students on special request.
Please submit your abstracts in English at our congress website before April 9, 2010 and state the related microsymposium.
Special fees for those of you interested in both EPDIC and ECM should encourage attendence.
We are looking forward to seeing many old friends and newcomers from all fields of crystallography in Darmstadt.
Professor Hartmut Fuess Chair of ECM26 and EPDIC12
The 3rd EuCheMS Chemistry Congress in Nürnberg (Nuremberg) 2010 will present the latest research in the core topic areas of chemistry, feature multidisciplinary programming, and highlight chemistry‘s impact on society. The Congress will bring together chemical and molecular scientists from industry, academia and government institutions across Europe and from around the world. The vendor exhibition will include leading companies showing their latest innovations in chemistry and related fields.
This Congress is organised under the auspices of the EuCheMS, the European Association for Chemical and Molecular Sciences, which has 50 member societies in total representing 150.000 individual chemists; the German Chemical Society (Gesellschaft Deutscher Chemiker, GDCh) is the host society for the Congress.
More than 750 exhibitors from 33 different countries present clothing and fashion of
both natural and man-made fibres.
The fabrics have a wide range of composition materials and
accessories and include womenswear, menswear,
kidswear, jeans and sportswear.
Business managers, purchasing managers and designers come twice a year
from all over Europe to get the latest scoop on the newest trends.
Improve predictive modelling success and explore alternatives to testing in
accordance with regulatory guidelines
Predictive
toxicology is the first step in developing any
viable drug on the market. Toxicology testing has evolved greatly to
incorporate the possibility of using alternatives to animal models and
the
application of biomarkers to evaluate adverse effects. There is also
cutting-edge research into areas such as CNS and cardiovascular disease.
By
understanding technological advances in how to best use in vitro and in silico methods to better predict in vivo results,
a company
can cost effectively develop drugs that will ensure market survival.
This
2nd annual marcus evans
conference will provide valuable knowledge to enhance drug development
strategies
by profiling novel solutions for toxicology screening with the latest
predictive tools. Attendees will receive key industry and regulatory
insights
on overcoming regulatory pressures in achieving approval on biomarker
use for
models and qualification of data on products. The use of outsourced
contract
research organisations (CROs)
will be evaluated which in turn will provide analysis on minimising
costs and improving data quality to ensure business success.
