Background: Effective wound healing with minimal scarring remains a pivotal challenge in clinical dermatology and aesthetic medicine. Various protocols, including Botulinum Toxin A, exosomes, Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP), phototherapy, and stem cell-based dressings, have emerged, aiming to improve healing outcomes and prevent complications such as hyperpigmentation, discoloration, and atrophic scarring.
Objective: This study aims to evaluate and compare the efficacy of diverse clinical protocols on wound healing, scar avoidance, and skin pigmentation disorders through a comprehensive review of cases treated over a three-year period.
Materials and Methods: A total of 120 cases were analyzed, incorporating treatments with Botulinum Toxin A, exosomes, PRP, phototherapy, and stem cell-based dressings. The evaluation of outcomes was conducted using histology, Visual Analogue Scores (VAS), and skin analysis for dermal parameters.
Results: The comparative analysis demonstrated significant improvements in wound healing and reductions in scar formation, hyperpigmentation, and discoloration across the protocols. Phototherapy and PRP showed notable efficacy in enhancing skin texture and minimizing scarring. Exosomes and stem cell-based dressings were effective in promoting cellular regeneration and reducing inflammatory responses.
Conclusion: The study underscores the importance of tailored clinical protocols for wound healing. It highlights the potential of combining treatments like phototherapy, PRP, and innovative materials for optimal outcomes. Future research should focus on long-term effects and the integration of these protocols into standard clinical practice for comprehensive wound management.
