Kempinski Hotel Amman, hotel in Amman

This hotel is located in Shmeisani, Amman’s central business district. It features a 24-hour gym, a spa and 3 restaurants. The rooms offer panoramic Amman city views.

I recently stayed for one night at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman and was thoroughly impressed. The lobby’s design creates a welcoming atmosphere, and the staff’s hospitality was exceptional from start to finish. The room layout was both clean and nicely arranged, contributing to a comfortable stay. The hotel’s location is excellent, surrounded by a variety of restaurants and cafes where you can enjoy the traditional local ambiance. I would like to extend a special thanks to Ms. Dorra, Ms. Bayan, and Mr. Abualwafa at the front desk for their outstanding support and helpfulness. Despite a minor misunderstanding with the payment, the entire staff handled the situation with professionalism and care. Thank you for your excellent communication and service. I look forward to staying at Kempinski Amman again.

FAQs about hotels in Amman

Forward-Thinking Royal Capital

The rapidly expanding Jordanian capital, Amman is an economic powerhouse spread over various hills. Atop one sits the Citadel, containing remains of the Roman Temple of Hercules, a Byzantine church and an 8th-century mosque and palace.

Also here is the Jordan Archaeological Museum, and at the foot of the hill is a Roman theatre, part built in the rock. Modern housing blocks surround it, but the most avant-garde architecture is in the developing Al Abdali business district.

The tallest Amman structures will be the Jordan Gate Towers and will house one of the city’s high-rise hotels. International brands of restaurants and bar can be found alongside more traditional cuisine in Amman, and many eateries are in the large Mecca Mall and Grand City Mall, which also has a cinema.

Nearby is the desert-like vegetation of Al Hussein National Park, and the Royal Automobile Museum which features cars of King Hussein, ruler for over 40 years and after whom are named city sights such as the King Hussein Business Park and mosque. The King Abdullah I Mosque has a beautiful blue dome, while Abu Darweesh Mosque at Amman’s highest point is a striking black-and-white structure.

Booking.com’s Amman accommodation includes 5-star hotels, apartments in the embassy district, and cheap hostels, all within easy reach of Queen Alia Airport.

It is luxury and comfortable hotel. Room was spacious and warm (we stayed in January). Shower clean and with normal hot water (finally in Jordan !:)) Breakfast was rich. We stayed one night on our way back home as its close to the Airport but would extend stay if had more time. Staff was very friendly and helpful in all spaces of the hotel. It is dry hotel but nevertheless non alcoholic options of drinks were very satisfied. We also were offered later check out as we had afternoon flight from Amman.

The location, bed, wifi connection, the price were the only good things during our accommodation and to a certain extent the breakfast as well. Prior to our arrival to Amman we booked this hotel in two parts the first part was for 4 nights and continued our journey to Aqaba and booked the same hotel for the last 2 nights, as our flight was from Amman. This was all done prior to our arrival to Jordan, so we had no real insight of the hotel - only the photos and the reviews.

Excellent stay at this hotel. We had the full, two bedroom/2 bath suite. Spacious and very very comfortable. Staff was good and professional. Wide array of options for breakfast. The hotel also has a gastropub for guests to dine in. It's just 4 mins walk to one of Amman's best restaurants (Fakhreldin) and just a couple of blocks away from the buzzy section of Rainbow Street. Overall, a very pleasant stay.

We ran from Israel because of the situation of the war with Gaza. A Jordanian agency helped us get out and we had to sleep one night in Amman. They booked this hotel for us last minute: perfect, the people were ready with the check in done, offered dinner, the showers were wonderful with great pressure, they made breakfast boxes for us at 4.30 am because we had to leave super early. It was a quite new hotel 1) located in the center of the downtown Amman that is easy to find when navigating (next to the famous Hashem restaurant), close to the Rainbow Street and most of the main attractions in Amman; 2) great value for money for a spacious, private ensuite room equipped with all the necessities, unlike many places in Jordan; 3) with accommodating staff.
