The hotel restaurant is incredible! The food is delicious and the atmosphere is perfect. Some evenings they even had live music in the restaurant. It was a great way to end our evenings before heading to our room for the night! The hotel location is also excellent. You are within walking distance of SO many plazas and sites!! The city is easy to navigate by foot - we spent 5 days here and never needed a car. I have stayed at Hotel Hidalgo a few other times in the past and I will continue to choose this hotel over any others in the city. We requested a room with a balcony, which enhances the beauty of this hotel. We loved opening the balcony doors and having a view of the street bustle, which was mostly people, not cars. The architecture and history of this hotel is truly worth seeing!

Querétaro is a beautiful city steeped in rich history, particularly as the birthplace of the Mexican Revolution. It's a must-visit destination for anyone interested in Mexican history, whether you're a local or a foreign tourist. While Spanish is predominantly spoken, it adds to the authentic experience, although it might pose a slight challenge for non-Spanish speakers. Overall, Querétaro offers a fascinating journey through Mexico's past and is well worth exploring.

I hope to return for a longer stay.
I hope to return for a longer stay. The Regional Museum is great; I would like to have had time to visit others. Lots of great restaurants, street vendors of arts and crafts; but you need to carefully look for the locally-made items.

The city has beautiful historic center with many colonial buildings and churches. The streets are super clean and at night they are up with beautiful lamps. The city has a very important share of Mexico’s independence movement and has a lot history. The food was very good and I think I’ve had the best pozole in Queretaro. You can easily visit and see the city and sites in three days. It’s veey walkable and I very safe all the time; beautiful Queretaro!

Downtime is quite nice.
Downtime is quite nice. Several places to visit and lots of all types of restaurants to accommodate your travel budget. This city is becoming quite crowded and visited and you must be aware that traffic jams are starting to be experienced more and more. However, if you stick to downtown (Centro Historic) you will enjoy a nice couple of days and will be able to visit the diverse museums, temples and overall neighborhoods which the city has.
Good location, about a 10 minute walk from the Centro histórico. Clean, modern, spacious room with 2 queen sized beds and a little kitchenette (fridge, microwave, pod coffee machine, crockery and cutlery for 4 people. Good water pressure in the shower and easy to regulate the temperature.
The fan was enough to keep us comfortable at night time. Secure entry to room and main door of property.
We enjoyed a sunset on the rooftop.
Great place for a 3 night stay in Queretaro.
The room was spacious with a great shower and high ceilings. In room coffee and bottled water was provided. The bed was more comfortable than most Mexican hotels. Walking distance from everything in el centro. The included breakfast was nice. Other reviews said the rooms are dark and the lights are dim, but we found this relaxing after coming in from the bright sunlight. The bathroom lights were very bright as you want in a bathroom.
The location was excellent. The hotel was very new, just open 1.5 years. It was walking distance to the main squares, restaurants and museums. The staff was very helpful and friendly! The reception staff were great as were the servers in the cafe for our daily breakfast. The rooftop terrace was very nice, but seemed underutilized... We enjoyed our stay very much. Queretaro in general was a lovely surprise!
The hotel is very well located for exploring the Centro Historico. It is a beautiful modern building, hidden behind the facade of an older Spanish-style countryard home. The hotel is really a design statement with a three-storey, glass-floored library at its centre.
Absolutely gorgeous, historic hotel in Queretaro. We splurged on the Presidential suite to celebrate our 25 years together and it was really a beautiful room. Tasty breakfast included. Ricardo, a wonderful pianist played during the meal. Truly a one of a kind place.
The hotel is located in a quiet street with an excellent location (you can walk from there to discover the centro historico), the staff is very friendly and helpful. I also liked the terrace with view over the Temple of the Santa Cruz.
A very boutique style feel. Lovely clean and white arty layout. A big comfortable bed, and wi-fi worked well for us. Staff were friendly and helpful. High quality furnishings/feel.
Great location for the centro historico too.
The city centre is just a few minute walk away and the room is nice too, but the biggest advantage is definetely the staff. Very friendly and helpful, gave us a lot of information about the city and Mexico in general.
A very charming and comfortable hotel. Quiet and convenient location to explore centro historico. We had a large room, great internet and a big screen tv. King size bed. Great shower. Highly recommended.
The hotel was really well located, right at heart of historical Queretaro. There are many cafes and restaurants around. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was good and everything was clean.
Stylish boutique hotel with an upscale restaurant with rooftop terrace right in the center of Queretaro. The entire historic center is within walking distance. Super friendly staff. Excellent food. Clean.
Centrally located, large room overlooking a plaza, good housekeeping, daily breakfast provided in a grand historic hotel with high ceilings, wide hallways and marble flooring in some areas.
The lovely, comfortable rooms had character and charm. I'm tired of anonymous, sterile modern places that could be anywhere. I felt like I was staying in a colonial city in Mexico!
Hotel Madero is sparkling clean and they have a lovely staff. Location is perfect, right on the promenade in Centro. This was my second stay and I hope to be back!
