It cost me $175 to valet park next to the hotel.

It cost me $175 to valet park next to the hotel. I was told that if I parked it myself it would be $18 but it would be subject to double charges and cost more. We walked everywhere and never saw our car until we checked out. Charleston is an old city and there are many uneven sidewalks. The historic area streets could use some cleaning and maybe flowers and shade trees. Very unattractive. walking tours, fort sumpter were great. Loved the city market. May restaurants overpriced and just so so. One gem was the BBQ place near the city market. If I were to return I’d stay in a more modern hotel in the historic district.

We enjoyed our trip to Charleston.

We enjoyed our trip to Charleston. We did a 2 hour walking tour through the city and it was very interesting. Our tour guide, Fran, with Bulldog Tours was very knowledgeable and passionate about the city. Loved seeing The Battery and all of the beautiful historic homes. These homes have the most beautiful window boxes filled with flowers. We also did a harbor cruise with Harbour Tours which was very informative. We got right up to the USS Yorktown. There is an abundance of restaurants and bars to choose from. We went to Rue de Jean and Coast Bar and Grill. Both were located in Hutson's Alley. Good food and reasonable prices. If you love to shop you have to go to King Street. There were many boutiques and high-end shops. Lots of places to eat or stop for a drink or coffee. Charleston is a very walkable city, and we definitely got our miles in! Now that I am more familiar with certain parts of the city I would try other small hotels on our next visit.

The breakfast was wonderful as we had it both mornings of our stay out in the patio, which was very nice! The staff was very attentive, and breakfast took no time at all to be served. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. I’m sorry we only had three days and two nights stay in Charleston but will be Back soon and plan to stay at your inn again and look to more of the historic downtown Charleston. The hotel was nicely situated about half way between downtown Charleston and Sullivans Island beach. Roughly 15 minutes by car to either. Our particular room had two separate bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchenette. Very nice! This was an upgrade we paid for, as most rooms are not configured like this. The staff were fantastic! Comfortable beds and clean rooms.

    - the location, very accesible to anything I would say - the fact that they had a free shuttle every hour to take you to the historic downtown and the last one to come back to the hotel is at 10:45 which is not bad at all honestly - every day housekeeping - the view is so nice for the sunrise too - the Dove bathroom amenities, good quality, I appreciated it

The hotel was clean & the staff friendly. The location is located in a built up area near lots of restaurants and shops, but not near downtown Charleston. Obviously if you want near downtown, you’re going to pay for that convenience. Breakfast is offered at the hotel, but to me, pricey. We would definitely stay there again.
