The Barcelo Sants hotel is a unique hotel with a futuristic space theme throughout. The rooms were clean and modern, and there were little touches and inspirational messages in the rooms and common areas that carried through with the space theme as well as green/environmental efforts. The buffet breakfast was excellent and offered a nice variety in addition to a cook-to-order egg station. It was a little expensive, but the agent offered a special price at check-in. The beds were comfortable, the shower was great, and the room was spotless. The location is great if you are traveling in or out of Sants Station, and the hotel was easily accessed from the station. The neighborhood around the station was okay, and there were several restaurants and cafes in the area. That said, if you are interested in overall sightseeing in Barcelona and want to walk (vs. using the metro), then there are other hotel options with more central locations.

Loved our three days in Barcelona and wished we could have stayed longer. Must-sees include Sagrada Familia, Gothic Quarter, Montjuic, and Monserrat. Do the "Taverns, Tapas, and History" tour by Devour. So much good food everywhere. Good metro system. Loved where we stayed on Ramblas Catalunya a couple of blocks north of the Placa.

Barcelona is a rather brash and noisy city very much oriented around tourism. It's main claim to fame is bars, beaches and architecture. I thought it expensive compared to Madrid although some things could be cheap.
The Metro is good although its layout can be confusing at times.
I liked "Sisters" cafe near Hospital Sant Pau for breakfasts and Bocine bar near Sagrada Familia for a casual beer and Tapas.
I particularly liked Gaudi's Casa Batllo house and the extraordinary Palau de la Musica Catalana for their architecture. The latter was hard to find but putting on some good concerts. The cable car rides were good fun and reasonably priced.
I got ripped-off by a doubtful ticket seller for the Sagrada Familia; I can only advice that visitors be sure to buy a ticket in advance from the Official website. Don't expect there to be any tickets available on the door!

Surprisingly crowded since in was late May.
Surprisingly crowded since in was late May. I can't imagine what it would be like in the summer. We didn't see nearly enough of the city and wish there had been more time. The Metro was helpful and we used it a lot. We did visit the harbor and it was a refreshing time though there were lots of people there, too.

Barcelona has been trashed by mass tourism it’s a pity because away from overpriced and extremely crowded Tourist spots there is a great community vibe. If your looking for Spain avoid Barcelona and travel further afield

Too many great restaurants and only one stomach.
Too many great restaurants and only one stomach. Lots more Gaudi and history to take in. Free walking tours were great. Other tours out of town looked good but lacked the time.
You can eat cheap in Barcelona but we didn't. We're too old to do that and life is short. A good three course meal with a glass of wine was costing around $A80 to $A100 for two. Want to self cater? Go to the Central Market in La Rambla where we stayed. Amazing food.
It was way to get to main touristic places within 20 minute walk. We liked the airy, large rooms. The shower was great. Lots of complimentary stuff, although only one per person; e.g. one toothbrush was available for a room of two. Staff were so friendly and helpful both at the reception desk and at the restaurant. Breakfast was fantastic, a very large choice and the food was very good quality. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant on the last evening and it was one of the best we had during our stay in Barcelona. It was also the cheapest.
Almost a perfect hotel.
My family flight was very early, we arrived Barcelona at 7:00am, the hotel allowed our family to early check-in! Which was super nice.
The hotel was located in a residential area, I went to Sagrada Famila by walking 20-25mins, the subway was 5-7min walking. Then you could access to any place.
I could also use the laundry room, which is so helpful because my family trip will be 2 weeks in Spain.
The room was also quite big, you will have enough space to use.😆
The room was very comfortable, spacious and quiet. Good bed and a very good working space. The space at the top floor to work and relax was also great as i could use it while waiting for my room te get ready. Breakfast is immense, very scrumptious! The hotel is opposite the congress center which is extremely convenient and 4 min. from the metro so well connected to Barcelona city centre. A really nice surprise was a bottle of cava with 2 glasses delivered on my birthday!
Besides the facility been great, I want to give a special and well-deserved appreciation to the hotel staff especially señor Arian for being such an amazing person and tour guide too..
Señor Arian made the trip exponentially better, through his recommendations, advises and conversation I was able to experience Barcelona in a great light/way and as a result I'm very much excited to revisit Barcelona & Spain in the nearest future 🤗
Paid for the room upgrade with tiny balcony overlooking clock tower and cathedral. Awesome!!! Clean. Hot rain shower. Great bed.
Breakfast is a super highlight.
Now the location; COULD NOT BE BETTER. Next door is best high end grocery in Barcelona with a high end depart store above. Close to everything!
And took a 6 euro bus to and from the airport. 90 second walk from hotel.
Great staff who aim for perfection.
One of the best locations in the city, extremely close to everything: restaurants, metro, bus stops, convenience stores and most of all, the Sagrada Familia. We appreciate the professionalism of the staff, their pleasant personalities, knowledge of Barcelona and their helpful ways of treating their hotel guests. Thank you very much to the cleaning staff and the front desk staff especially Amanda - she is wonderful!
The hotel was in the best location, with almost all places of interest very close by. Fina and Enrique, our friendly hosts, were incredibly helpful with everything we needed. The room was cleaned daily, and the bathroom was equipped with all the essentials. We are extremely pleased with both the hotel and our hosts. Our 7 days in Barcelona was the best, thanks to Fina, Enrique, and the city itself. Thank you all!
Host - he waited for us even thou we had a late flight and there was a strike at airport and we meeded to wait gor our luggage
Location - close to thw Sagrada like 15 minute walk, it can be considered that you are in the city center
Barcelona - 😊
F1 - We went mainly there because of the F1 weekend , and that was a great experiance, I would recommend anyone that loves F1
This was a lovely hotel on a quiet street very close to the Arc de Triomf in Barcelona. The bed in our room was heavenly. The morning breakfast included just about anything you could want to eat and the staff was welcoming and kind. We came to find out that Catalonia is a chain of hotels in Spain. This one felt more like a boutique hotel. We enjoyed our stay very much.
I would highly recommend this hotel to other tourists. First and foremost the staff from reception was by far the most helpful ones I’ve met in Spain. They helped me carry the luggage along with bags and I really appreciated their airport. When I checked out they helped me call the taxi.
5 star!!
The hotel is perfectly located in the city center. The staff are nothing but helpful and go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and ensure you have everything you need. The rooms are modern and very comfortable, and I would definitely stay here again if I come back to Barcelona!
It's a very nice place to stay in Barcelona. Bus stop and metro station in a short distance from the hotel. SUPERNICE STAFF :) This hotel is placed in a calm district, so good place to rest after long trips in the city center. Nice and comfortable lobby for work and informal meetings.
Amazing hotel, the best hotel I've ever stayed in. Very clean and the bed was a little small but the building materials were incredible. The ceiling shower is life changing. The location was in the center of Barcelona. You're within a 15 minute drive of all the tourist attractions.
Good place to stay in Barcelona for family with kids
Nice location , very close to the metro station - 5 min walk, close to city center - around 30 minutes walk or 15 min by metro.
clean room, a small market near hotel and a shopping center at 10-15 min walk.
It’s a lovely hotel just 10 mins away from the busy center, the room is very comfortable, the shower the best I ever had and the food from the restaurant was exquisite, was the second time at this hotel and will definitely go back every time i ll go Barcelona
good location, not in the city center but by metro close by.
walking distance to some Barcelona attractions and showing mall with restaurants
hotel has bar which is also very comfortable when you do not want to leave hotel in the evening anymore
This hotel is at an amazing location for exploring Barcelona, right in the city center! Metro, bike, bus, taxi and many restaurants/stores in walking distance. The room is spacious with a comfortable bed. Friendly staff.
