The hot foods at breakfast were not kept warm enough. And maybe it is the French way to have room temperature pancakes but not Americans or Germans for sure. We prefer them hot. The front Desk associates were tops.

An incredible city, the metro makes it accessible, cafes are great, parks are lovely. If possible avoid crowded times of the year. A day trip to Disney, easy to get to, is recommended. Also, the flea market was really interesting as was Pere Lachaise.

Paris is a wonderful city to explore by foot though the metro and sharing bikes are also very convenient. It is well worth exploring some of the outer areas as well as the main central attractions e.g. the big modern parks such as Parc La Villette and Parc Andre Citreon. You can see a huge range of good architecture in that way, modern as well as 19th century. of the classic sights, my personal favourite is the Pantheon, and there are great art galleries. You can also spend the whole time in pavement cafes people watching!

Paris is Paris and there is so much to see within easy walking distance or using the Metro. The Metro system is amazing and so easy to use.
We were fortunate with good weather during the days of our visit.
Our biggest dislike was how many smokers there were and how much the smoke intruded into dining areas.

Paris is a spectacularly beautiful city, rich in culture and heritage. Fabulous restaurants and overwhelmingly friendly, helpful service. Have visited on numerous occasions and is sooo convenient to get to via London.
Two negative points. Be aware of pickpockets and accessibility on the metro is difficult.

Make sure you say "Bonjour" every time to everyone you speak to, otherwise you will get a VERY bad response!!
Don’t expect gushing friendliness! The Parisians that we encountered were efficient and reserved.
Having more than school knowledge of French is clearly an advantage when dealing with lower-level officials: metro staff, cloak room attendants, hotel cleaning staff.
Pre-booking restaurants may be an advantage. We avoided dining in overly popular areas.
As for getting around, you could download the Paris Metro App onto your smart phone to enable you to buy electronic tickets for single journeys. We noticed that it was still possible to buy single bus tickets with cash.
Planning what you want to see in Paris and working out the metro / bus routes in advance will save you time and angst.
Uber and Bolt are available in addition to city taxis.

Paris is a wonderful city.
Paris is a wonderful city. It has a lot of history and places to go. They have a very good metro system that can take you places and do a tour by yourself. We did Tootbus which is the Hop on & off bus. We got to see the city on wheels and we went as far as the foot of Eiffel Tower which is great. Too bad I was just there for 2 days. I would definitely come back to this city.
For such a central location, I think the price we paid was worth it. There were much cheaper options outside the city centre but we thought the convenience of being in such a central and lively part of town was worth it. The room was small as is in every typical hotel room in Paris. But it was clean, had comfy beds, a nice window and view and airconditioning, which we needed the most when we went in the summer. They also have free luggage storage and breakfast for an additional fee (restaurant was at the ground floor).
The hotel is situated in a very good location 3 minutes from ternes metro station,Charles de Gaulle–Étoile metro station,Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Élysées. The staff was very nice and helpful with every need. The room was good, it had a large bed and a big shower. Overall I had a very good experience and felt that the price was relatively low (considering the fact that Paris is not a cheap place). When I come back to Paris I will definitely consider staying there again.
I expected it to be a bit rubbish, to be honest, because it's a cheap hotel that we booked at very short notice. Actually, it's got charm. It's clean, the staff are nice, and when you're leaning out of your window over the tiny balcony, four floors up a slightly wonky staircase, looking out onto the mansard roofs and tall windows of the courtyard and listening to the muffled bustle of the rue de St Antoine - you know you could be nowhere else but Paris.
My experience at this location was exceptional! The staff was extremely friendly, kind and helpful particularly the female receptionist (I can't remember her name but she's originally from France/German boarder). She was extremely accommodating and welcoming. The other staff members were great as well. The hotel is older but my room was nice, clean and accommodating. The front desk receptionist/desk attendant even provided a baby bed which was awesome!
I booked this hotel for my son who is studying in Eastern France. I took a chance because there was only one review that was a "10". It actually just opened 3 days ago. My son was absolutely thrilled. It was right by the Gare du est and is clean and modern. He wants me to book it for next weekend. They also let him check a bag so he could pick it up on his way back out of town. They had a buffet breakfast that was convenient for him.
This is a lovely hotel in a part of Paris that feels more for locals than for tourists, but is in easy walking distance (5 minutes) of at least two Metro stations, making it very easy and quick to visit all the typical attractions. The very best thing was the warm welcome and friendly service from the multi-lingual staff. David from France and Mauricio (I think) from Argentina made us feel at home.
Much nicer than I expected considering how cheap it was! Very clean and comfortable bed, decent sized bathroom, super friendly and helpful staff and fresh pastries and coffee for breakfast every morning. Unbeatable location in easy walking distance of the metro and most of the major museums. Still pretty modest accommodation obviously, but definitely one of the better budget hotels in central Paris!
Our room was pretty small, but I think it was because of the cheap price - so It was okay. It was clean and in a nice part of Paris. We didn´t breakfast there. At the last day we got a bigger room, because there was a lack of water in the other one. The room was bigger. Everyone in this hotel was sooo nice and as spezialy the mananger tried to make his guests really happy.
The best hotel we stayed during our trip to North of France which is kids friendly. The room was clean and had a quiet corner for us to put the travel cot (which they provided for free). The shower was a bit small but good enough for a hot shower. The breakfast was very good and the lady at the kitchen very friendly helping with baby chair and toys. Good value for Paris.
This is one of the best hotels in Paris ... a legend with a massive history. I have stayed a number of times. Every room is unique. Photos of former guests in each room. Last time: Iggy Pop! This time: Jack Nicholson pictured on the night of the World Cup Final 1998. France 3, Brazil 0. Jack wearing the tricolore on his cheek. Red, white, blue...I love you!
what a lovely hotel! even better than the pictures! the staff was so kind for making dinner reservations for my family, location perfect for the Eiffel Tower visit. next to monoprix (the target of France :)) great breakfast including healthy superfood bowls. it was the perfect 1st night hotel for 1 night before an extended stay in the south of France
Breakfast was great! The only thing I would have liked was a top sheet. We did not have a top sheet under the quilt. I think it must be a france thing because the hotel we are staying at now in the South of France does not have a sheet under the quilt. The top sheet keeps the bed cool and the quilt clean.

Our room was excellent and beautifully reconstructed. However, the hotel is under renovation, so some areas will be greatly improved over the next year. The included breakfast was the best we had during our travels in France. It is served in a stunning dining area. The location of this hotel is a definite plus.
I just loved L’oasis Montparnasse. The staff is incredibly kind, they speak fluent English so you have no communication problems. The place is really beautiful and clean and compared to other facilities in France is big . I loved it and I am absolute coming back. This hotel exceeded my expectations by far.
The staff of this hotel is great and very helpful. We really liked the breakfast (it would be nice to add omeletes as it's traditional French food). All in all this hotel is probably the most "value for money" hotel I have ever stayed. Paris is pricey but the price of this hotel was cheap!
Beautiful hotel that captures the spirit of classical France. The walking distance to luxemborg gardens also cannot beat. The staff is top notch. If you want to be absorbed in the history of the city of lights, and have a gorgeous room for a fair price, this is the hotel to stay out.
Its a value for money. One of the cheapest rooms we found. It wasn't huge. Very basic but that is what Paris is all about. It was comfortable. The shower was good. The people in reception were nice and cordial. Lots of bakeries around the hotel. Easy to reach with public transport
The Hotel gave a very authentic feel of France
And the atmosphere was very relaxing, when we come to Paris again we would be sure to book the Bedford.
It is nice to come to a Hotel that is in the same family since it inception.
