Known for its cleanliness and fresh air, it comes as no surprise that the luxurious ski resorts of the Alps are within an easy distance of both the city and Zurich Airport, which is only a 12 minute drive from the city center.
The center is also a fast-growing cultural hub, packed with art galleries and museums. From the big train station it is very easy to take a day trip to the capital, Bern. It is an hour road and the old town there is really nice. Also try the day trip to Loucerne. There is a travel agency called "Best of Switzerland", the parking lot is really close to the hotel, i would highly recommend the excursion to the Titlis mountain, Alps. I will never forget that in my life. Zurich is very nice, the walk by the river to the start of the lake is great.

Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of...
Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of a small town. If your life revolves around outdoor activities such as hiking, wake boarding, sailing, bicycling, rock climbing, mountain climbing, etc. then it is by far one of the best cities to live in. It's incredibly close to all of these things.
It's also centrally located in Europe, so you can easily visit France, Austria, Germany, or Italy with only a few hours train ride. You will travel a lot.
The city itself is beautiful. It is cleaner and safer than any other big city in the world. A corollary to the cleanliness is that you will spend far more of your life figuring out how to get rid of your trash than anywhere else you will ever live. (I personally was never able to fold my paper-recycling neatly enough to get it picked up. I am not joking.)
The Swiss are incredibly organized. Even the Germans make fun of how organized and un-spontaneous they are. When the government or a bank tells you to expect something within two weeks, it will probably show up in your mailbox within three business days. You will respond to mail faster than you ever have in your life.
The core of the city is only about 400,000 people. It's small. You may find yourself going nuts if you come from a big city, or if you like a bit of mayhem in your life. While there are many different activities to do, they may only happen once a week.

Zurich has so much character.
Zurich has so much character. Unlike other cities around the world, which build so many monuments and attractions, Zurich is “naturally” beautiful!! I spent most of my days traveling to other parts of Switzerland, but while in Zurich I was able to tour the Rhein falls, Lindt chocolate factory, the lake, the shops and much more!

Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere. It was clean and quite a lot of interesting sites. Great mix of both old and new! Very expensive though. An icecream will be 4chan for 1 scoop and 8 or 9 chg for 2 scoops. A burger and fries at McDonald’s is 15-20chf which we thought was ridiculous. We took a couple of really great bus trips. One day to Leichtenstein and another day to Rheinfall, both were amazing!

Wonderful, breathtaking view.
Wonderful, breathtaking view. People are nice and transportation is absolutely great . If only most of every thing is inexpensive I would be coming twice or 3 times a year! Over all I love Zürich I will be back again!
The hotel was well situated in Old Town Zurich with a tram stop about a block away, at the river. I had a single room which had a comfortable bed, modern, clean bathroom, a fridge with free water, a safe and good storage. The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was fine, typical Swiss breakfast, with everything you need to get going in the morning. Also I ate a delicious fondue dinner at the hotel restaurant, Swiss Chuchi as well as a soup/salad lunch, also good. Switzerland is pricey, so be prepared for expensive food.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a decent size, plenty of storage space and beds were comfortable. Room had a safe which was very useful. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Best scrambled eggs ever! Location was brilliant. Close to main Zurich railway station, coach park, local trams and only 10 minutes walk to the old town. Also close to one or two restaurants and supermarkets. It was very hot during our stay but, because the hotel is on a quiet street, there were no issues leaving the window open at night.
The location of the hotel was great for travelers using the efficient Swiss train system and sightseeing in Zurich. Close to train stations, situated in the historic downtown with all its charm, close to the river and the Swiss history museum. The woman staffing reception was welcoming and helpful with answers to all our questions about restaurants, transit advice, and helping us get flight boarding passes. Her English was perfect, though she was able to switch languages for other guests as well.
Convenient location; only a short walk from the Zurich main railway station. Note that the train travels frequently between the airport and the main railway station and, as such, it is an easy and short trip to access the hotel. Pleasant and helpful staff members at the hotel. Room was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-equipped. Compared to other hotels in Zurich, this hotel represented good value for money. We would stay at this hotel again.
Exactly what we needed after long travel. A very comfortable downtown (business like) hotel that was located close to trams, shops, the old city and the lake foreshore. And with a hearty breakfast. To get around, on a Sunday when nearly everything was shut, we bought a quite cheap 24 hr travel ticket that gave us the ferry to the chocolate factory and all travel in and around the city centre as needed.
Breakfast was continental, with good selection. Hot coffee /Tea, Selection of juices, breads, fresh fruit. All amenities were in room. Electric kettle, coffee maker, teacup and saucer, complimentary water bottle. 5-7 minute walk to Zurich main train station, 15 min on Train to Zurich airport. They also had a luggage hold after check out and a clean restroom in the hotel for guests to freshen up.
The location is too good. I recommend the word echo especially for young people who visit Zurich for good fun and evening out. Interesting bars with good music and entertainment are literally under your window. The hotel is located in the downtown area do not spend money on expensive public transport that you do not need. The best points for the receptionists, charismatic and friendly.
This is the first time I visit Zurich and glad that we chose Hotel Felix. The best thing with the hotel is the location. It’s in the Zurich Old Town which is the beautiful part. Restaurants and shops are walking distance. The hotel is very clean and modern. I will def recommend the hotel for someone who will visiy Zurich and if I go again, I will stay at the same hotel.
it was a very fair hotel for 3 stars. they have a laundry service which was very convenient. it was fairly spacious for having a king bed and it being a hotel in a big city. breakfast was nice and even though we didn’t pay in advance, they let us pay the morning of. the location was great— right in between Zurich HB and the main center of downtown.
Good location mid-way between Sternen Oerlikon station and the Hallenstadion for concerts so only a five minute walk or so in each direction. Easy travel from airport, and into Zurich centre, either by train or tram. Friendly staff. My first stay in this hotel (usually stop at the Holiday Inn) but will probably return here for my next concert.
The hotel is amazing, everything was very clean, the breakfast was vary reach in variety. The hotel is very close to the city center, I was basically walking everywhere all the time, but there is a tram station right next to the hotel, so it's easy to go further. Will gladly come back here during my next stays in Zurich.
You have hotel's Mercedes EQS waiting in the airport,
three isolated corner huge connecting suites,
Zurich: your footstool from the balcony,
breakfast at wonderful sunrise,
aesthetic and global elite,
and Panagiotis joyfully booking from urgent doctor's visit on Sunday, to best restaurants and air tickets.
The staff was more than helpful with luggage and printing some covid related documents, the room is great value for the money and the hotel is just next to the old city - basically city center! so if you don't want to spend a lot of money to stay in Zurich for a day or two this is the best option!
Used it as a last minute airport hotel as we missed our connecting flights & had to stay overnight. Only 10 mins by train from Zurich airport in a suburban location. Room size was good. Didn't stay for b/f as had to go back to the airport early morning.
The staff made this visit fantastic. Everyone is anxious to help and be of amazing service. Zurich is an expensive city but this hotel gave me the best value of my trip. Wonderful property, comfortable room and terrific, walkable location.
The staff is very nice to arrange a nice room for us with gift card, such a nice gesture. Room is nice, hotel location is perfect, near everywhere, train station, airport, city center, famous restaurant. We dont even need to buy tram ticket
First time on Zurich me and my wife, glad we choose Ruby as our hotel. Best location, staff, rooms, the shower is amazing, everything was great and clean!
