We absolutely loved our spacious room and the fabulously comfortable beds. There were sockets and tables by the beds as well as lights and there were other lights, chairs and a desk in the room. There was also plenty of space for clothes and cases. There is no a/c, just a fan above the door but we found that to be more than enough.
The rooms surround a beautiful garden with lots of tables and chairs to relax in and you can have breakfast there.
Speaking of breakfast, there was a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, juices, your choice of eggs and two hot dishes as well as bread, ham, cheese, jam and most importantly strong coffee. One of the best spreads we've seen in Peru.
The location is a 10 minute walk from the Plaza so it's very quiet and relaxed at night.
Staff were all great, happy to help and very friendly and mostly spoke great English. A special shout out to the cleaning lady who was unfailingly cheerful and gave us advice on how to counteract the effects of the altitude.
Bottom line, if we're back in Arequipa, we'll definitely be staying here again.

Arequipa is a very nice city different from the other cities in Peru, a very clean and welcoming town. I think it has a lot to offer from the mountains to the coast! Colca canyon is a must! Amazing place to relax and enjoy the mountains and the peaceful towns. Downtown is also really nice with good restaurants, cafes, museums and nice churches that are open to visit in the day. There are also nice typical restaurants around the city where they serve local and delicious dishes. Arequipa is totally recommended for 2 to 4 days.

Nice city with an attractive historical centre with Santa Catalina Monastery the absolute top attraction, an amazing place with an amazing history. Do not miss a trip to Colca Canyon to see the condors, that is amazing and this is one of the few places in the world where you can see condors. Another must see site is The founder of Arequipa (Garci Manuel de Carbajal) mansion, about 20 km outside the city. In two to three days you will be able to cover the above mentioned attractions.

A beautiful city!
A beautiful city! Lots of culinary options to choose from, especially in the city center around Plaza des Armas! If you need to try anything in particular, go for Kam Thai Cuisine and Mumis for their tasting course, as well as for Pachamanca at Don Beto a bit outside of the city center.
Anything you need can be reached by foot, also, the taxis are reliable.
The guides of all the tours were well trained and gave you all the information needed!
I can only recommend going to Arequipa if you have the chance, for my part, I'll certainly come back one day :)
climbing Nevado Chachani, Laguna Salinas, climbing Ubinas vulcano
La Lecoreta Monastery with Museum and Library, Mercado san Camilo, Viewpoint Square in the Yanahuara District, Santa Catalina Monastery Complex, Santuarios Andinos University Museum with the Juanita Mummy
The beds were most comfortable we slept in while in Peru. Soft, warm and cozy! The room was spacious and comfortable with a sofa/sitting area and small kitchen. Great for a family. The courtyards were beautiful and a terrific respite from the hustle of Arequipa! The location to the Plaza was perfect--not too far, but not close enough to hear the noise and experience the busyness. Very clean, overall. Staff was very helpful and packed us to-go breakfast for our last day when we left early.
Had a small suite with a balcony on the top floor. View looked out onto a parking lot, but was still pleasant to have. Room was HUGE! Nice modern conveniences. The roof deck has spectacular views of the city. Staff was very eager to help out. One night when I was too exhausted to go out to eat, they helped me order delivery and dropped it off to my room. That was above and beyond! The interior décor is very intriguing with lots of skylights. This was my favorite accommodation in Peru.
our stay at La Plaza Arequipa was incredible. the staff was super accommodating to our needs and so very nice. the location is superb, you’re close to everything: shops, taxis, restaurants etc. the hotel itself was beautiful and spotless. Highlight for me was being able to enjoy breakfast from the balcony that overlooked La Plaza de Armas. Looking forward to our next trip to Arequipa where we will definitely be back! Thank you again to the staff, you are incredible!
The hotel is centrally located next to the Plaza de Armas. The staff are excellent - they are very welcoming and helpful. The room is spacious and in-room amenities are excellent. The hotel is tastefully decorated. They offer an a la carte breakfast in the dinning room overlooking the square. There are plenty restaurants, cafes, and many places of interest, and a supermarket within very short walking distance. Wifi coverage was also stable and realiable.
José made me feel so comfortable from the start. Such a good and friendly host explaining what to visit in the city and nearby. He also took the time to make me discover a more local hang out on the river and also organised a BBQ on the roof one night. The hostel has everything you need without being pretentious, and is cleaned daily. I slept really well and the shower was the best I have had in Peru, especially after arriving from Colca. Gracias José !
The host is super nice and treats us as friends, and we communicated a lot to exchange the info of Peruvian and our home country. Although the place looks old, but everything is nice and clean. Hot water was provided. The price of the room is cheap, but the service is much more than that. The hotel is close to the plaza and it is easy to find. We hope we can meet the host and her family members again one day!!!
We traveled to Arequipa to enjoy a concert and were delighted to find ourselves right at the heart of it. The hotel was located right at the heart of Arequipa, allowing us to move freely around the city. Also, its lobby gave us a warm welcome with a mix of Arequipa's Ancient history and a warm room to rest. The staff was very polite and quick to attend to our requests. A lovely experience
The Hotel is renovated some years ago, and have a very european style, where everything works as it should, and a very nice common area.
The breakfast, and the terrace where it is served is very nice.
The staff is very friendly and helpfull. And we got to leave our bags there when hiking in Colca Canyon
The room was comfortably warm
The shower had warm water and OK water pressure
The hotel is in a really good, quiet, central location. We enjoyed having breakfast on the terrace each morning, with scrambled eggs and fresh juice. The shower was always hot (first time we experienced this in Peru!), the TV in the room had a Netflix registration and the wifi was strong. It was nice to be able to drop laundry off at reception, for a cheap price of 4 soles/kg.
The staff were friendly, the breakfast was great with unlimited fresh coffee. the owners were lovely and the information given about the area was very thorough they helped us plan what to do in our tike in arequipa. The historic nature of the building was really cool too, it was owned by an ex president of peru, and has been sympathetically restored.
Breakfast was decent- cereal yoghurt and eggs, fruit juice and coffee too. Lovely rooftop bar to relax at, free salsa class on Fridays, dorms were spacious and comfy and there was always hot water. Staff were very helpful and owner Manuel was great too, he showed me some Peruvian salsa music. Nice location by the river too.
The hotel has an excellent location and the staffs were awesome and very helpful! So far, it is the cleanest room we have encountered in Peru! The bedsheets also were the best ones we’ve encountered and we were able to sleep very well!! I highly recommend this hotel. Plus, they offer early breakfast.
We chose this hotel based on all the reviews and (on balance) it was probably the right decision. The view from the terrace is amazing and breakfast was good. However it is expensive and when we paid this amount elsewhere in Peru we got outstanding service and magnificent breakfasts.
Very charming hotel, located a short walk from the old city. Rooms were impeccably clean, beds were comfortable and breakfast on the terrace was lovely. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, including packing us boxed lunches when we had a 3am departure to Colca canyon.
This hotel is a fantastic place to stay in Arequipa! Room is spacious and pleasant (direct access to the garden), location is very convenient but most of all the staff is great! They are very helpful and friendly! Next time Arequipa we will definitely stay here again!
Great place to get in touch with the Peruvian culture, few steps from the civic center, the historic places and gift shops between others. Good breakfast. Very clean and quiet. You can have a good rest. Nice pool with best view in town. Great staff.
The hotel is so beautiful in front of the Catedral! It has the best view at the plaza. The staff was the nicest people! The manager, Patricia, was so nice! The food was also so good!
