Courtyard by Marriott Rockville, hotel in North Bethesda

This hotel is 16 miles from Georgetown and 18 miles from the White House. It offers a Boarding Pass station and an interactive GoBoard for news and weather in the lobby.

The outdoor firepit was nice and the sitting area/common spaces were very nice. We spent quite a bit of time sitting near the fireplace. It was nice to get out of the room and have a relaxing area to visit and talk. The rooms have been updated nicely.

    Clean and comfortable room.

Clean and comfortable room. Safe and friendly neighborhood excellent for pleasant evening walks. Please be sure to visit Bark Social just a short, straight stroll from the Canopy. Whether you are with a dog or not, this is the place to enjoy a brew (coffee, tea, or beer...or cocktails, too) and whether you want to share conversations with old friends or with new people you meet, or keep to yourself with a a good book or read your newspaper in peace, the incredibly helpful and cheerful staff all around you are also all around your pawed companions, picking up after them and discreetly guiding their social interactions so you don't have to!! Bark Social and the Canopy are destinations that will keep you returning and always wishing to extend your stay!

This was a new, in-progress neighborhood with all kinds of interesting places. Nando's! (I love Nando's) Great croissants at the bakery. Lots of other choices. I didn't have time, but within two blocks there was a Uniqlo, H&M, West Elm, a cinema, and many more restaurants. Live music two of the days, and a cute little park. Lively crowd, lots of outside dining options. Only surprise was I didn't see a drugstore or even a little grocery nearby (though I did hear there was a 7-11).

Loved our room, floor, hotel aesthetic, sweet smell, and music as we entered the hotel. All of our senses were engaged! And our first night stay, we were surprised with seeing fireworks from our room - it was unexpected, magical and simply awesome. The wakability score is 100% with several eateries and shopping options right at our fingertips -it's in part the reason we extended our stay. We ate at Pinstripes twice so far and a Taco spot inside of the Food Hall twice so far- food was excellent at both spots. We also ate at Jinya Ramen which was not very good to us at all - if you've ever had Ramen from Daikaya on 6th street in NW, DC you will clearly understand the difference in what great Ramen should taste like. But the staff was nice. We stayed at several Canopys - wish some of the staff were a little more welcoming and accomodating generally and specifically regarding disounts and packages on long-term stays.

    Excellent area!!

Excellent area!! I was here on a Saturday in late June,, so a nice bonus for me was the Farmer’s Market that set up in a lot across from the hotel. Exceptional products and atmosphere! I bought blueberries, blackberries, and deliciously sweet peaches. It was delightful! North Bethesda is a bit congested at different times of the day, but nothing overwhelming. Coming from the New York metro area, North Bethesda is like an upscale suburb! Once parked, it’s a walker’s and foodie’s paradise. Everything is close by and plenty of benches to sit and people watch or just rest and take in the vibe. Loved it! You really don’t need a car around there unless you just want or need to leave the hotel area and see more if the city. The DC Metro is close by for a quick train ride into DC. Awesome area! Ate at Taylor Gourmet had a delicious sub made to order. Another exceptional place I ate at, besides the hotel, was Nando’s, also just steps from the hotel with great food and atmosphere inside and outside. There are many other restaurants and cafes in the area for all kinds of palates!

I like their excellent room services.

I like their excellent room services. The gym had everything needed for a good workout. But they could include free breakfast with my package. Also, the room should have a small microwave. The most important problem was the EXTREMELY limited parking.
