Location, comforting friendly staff. Only bad thing was people slamming there door all night. It was quiet up until 10pm. We stayed there as my sister had surgery at Upstate Medical.

the previous time I stayed, I liked the access to lobby and restaurant - however, this time I was stuck in the old building, floors were squeaky bathroom tiny, bed was hard, and floor made my socks brown ( no rug).

I went there on business, surrounding restuarants were adaequate. This is an industrialised town that is in decline, surrounded by vast countryside. You need a car and friends or business colleagues to make the trip enjoyable.

Being a city off the beaten tourist track, Syracuse has great prices for lodging, tickets, super quiet to drive and park, use public transportation, walk in the mall, visit sights.
When I left Syracuse, I went to New York City (NYC).
It is the 3rd time I go to NYC, but this time I felt the huge difference!
NYC is noisy, cars honk non-stop; people are in a hurry all the time; the traffic is chaotic; lodging, food, etc. everything is much more expensive! I wanted to go back to Syracuse the same day, too bad I couldn't.

Large old industrial town.
Large old industrial town. Downtown area has great old buildings. Niagara Mohawk building is amazing. Talking Cursive Brewery is across the street. It’s woman and veteran owned with great award winning beer and food. We were only in Syracuse overnight. I wish we’d had one more day.

The good: Syracuse has great parks in and around Onandaga Lake, a university city vibe, friendly people and many museums if that is what you are looking for. The food scene was good. The music scene was great.
It is also close to all the wineries of the fingers lake region.
The not so good: Syracuse's elevated highway system cuts up the Centertown and does make some areas look dingy and run-down. This is where the I90 and I81 intersect, along with several other limited access roads.
My family stayed twice for early and late flights out of Syracuse airport. The location is only 15 min from the airport and about 10 to downtown, so really convenient. The room was impeccably clean and the staff was very courteous, like offering an extra towel. I would definitely suggest to anyone to stay here for the price range, as it is way cleaner, safer than other options under $250/night. I'm glad I found this gem!
The hotel bedding was extremely dirty and stained . It was late when we arrived and I didn’t realize the bed was dirty until it was time to do to bed my child and I had to sleep in one bed. The toilet it the bathroom was extremely dirty. There’s no way a hotel should be operating like this.
very practical room design. super comfortable bed. the hotel and staff went all out to support the families in town for Syracuse graduation with free snacks and water. staff is superbly upbeat and helpful. great location which is a quick drive to campus. nice to be on the water, too.
Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were excellent, very nice breakfast! Also, while we didn't bring out dog, it was lovely to know that she would have been welcomed with a modest $35 flat fee (another hotel wanted $100 fee plus $35 a day).
The location was key; right in the center of town and very close to Taste of Syracuse. The room was clean and adequate. Beds were moderately comfortable; fairly standard for a hotel. The TV had easy access to Netflix.
This is our favourite hotel in Syracuse. The staff is absolutely incredible. The breakfast is amazing and we especially love the chef who makes the omelettes. He is sooooo great 🤩.
I was in Syracuse for work and had an amazing stay at The Parkview Hotel.
The room was really clean, quiet, and the bed was so comfy.
The staff were very helpful and friendly.
Everything at the hotel far exceeded our expectations! The staff, the rooms, the food, and the location just can't be beat! Highly recommend to anyone visiting the Syracuse area!
