This was our final stop in a 10 day trip around Kruger and the greater Kruger area and it was the absolute cherry on top of an amazing exploration. The location on the river is amazing and a dip in the pool looking out at passing wildlife is a true delight. What set this stay apart however was the game drives and our incredible guide Shannon. We were fortunate enough to be able.to see both wild dogs and in our final morning game drive two leopard cubs/eight months old. Shannon is one of the most knowledgeable and professional guides we have encountered in our travels around the world. Her capacity to find wildlife is remarkable and at the same time the respect she has for conservation.meant that we were able to see these rare creatures but without causing them stress. I would go back again in a heart beat and only wish we had been able to spend more time. Bed and room was comfortable. Food was plentiful and delicious.

The Honeymoon Tent is AMAZING in an amazing setting. I stayed there alone after upgrading from a standard tent, which was fine, but I didn’t care for their setting at all. Totally worth the onsite upgrade.
Leo was a wonderful and very knowledgeable driver/guide. The food was good. They made special vegetarian dishes for me at every meal. The staff all wonderful and accommodating. It’s a lovely and well maintained property.
Yebo Safari, Glamping and Safaris is a recently renovated luxury tent in Skukuza where guests can make the most of the garden and bar.

Terrific ! skukuza is a great great place. We saw a lot of big mammals around. Tent are very confortable. Restaurants and facilities around are very good. Prices are really affordable and reasonable.
Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience.
Great park, amazing wildlife, fantastic experience. This being said, it is not a zoo! Don't expect to see all the existing animals in the parc! Some are easy to spot and other not so much, this is real animal kingdom and it's difficult to say who is watching who! Sun sets are also amazing with beautiful colors. Vegetation is small but dense(bushes). According to our guide it is easier to spot the animal during winter / dry season. Bushes hve less leaves making easier spotting animals and the animals gather around the water spot. During summer it is the opposite. Bushes are more dense and r'there is water everywhere making animal spotting more difficult. So an advice: winter is great for animals but of course temperature are lower so be prepared for low temperature and bring some warm clothes.

Very good upmarket hotel with well equipped luxury rooms and facilities. Dinner and breakfast included in the rate and both were exquisite. Friendly and helpful staff to assist from the moment you arrive till the moment you leave. I can highly recommend a planned holiday to this hotel which is situated only a few hundred metres away from the Kruger Gate leading to Skukuza. Great vacation.

We took 1 game drive with them and it was a 200/10. Our guide, Elvis, did everything in his power to help us find the Big Five & I’ll never forget him & his knowledge. Get to Kruger Gate Hotel now!!

There was some delay in the pick up from the airport which we had requested. Apart from that the stay was well beyond expectations. The staff was ever smiling, polite and eager to please. The food quality and spread was very substantial even for vegetarians.
It was value for money

Skukuza in the Kruger park is amazing, as is the whole park really! We saw the big 5 in 3 days of self driving with kids (8&9) and stayed in Berg-en-dal rest camp for 2 nights and the Kruger Gate Hotel for 2 nights as well, to see a different part of the park. The restaurant at the hotel and Skakuza rest camp we’re both lovely. As a tourist though, in SA, you should always be vigilant when travelling especially with all your stuff.
Overall the accomodation is outstanding!
Excellent location just 100m from the Kruger National Park gate (located outside Kruger so you don't need to worry about getting to the gate on time)
Clean room - cleaned in the morning with turn down service at night
Well maintained facilities
Buffet Breakfast and Supper
Friendly staff
Clean gym - treadmill, rowing, weights, bike
Stunning pools
Wildlife around accomodation
Restaurant at accomodation
Options for: putt putt, spa, chess, game drives, tennis and a kids park, laundry
Our host, Merriam, was the first element making our trip worthwhile and special. She walked the extra mile to make our trip exceptional and was very accommodating to our specific needs. The tent is well equipped & very clean. Also close to the communal bathrooms and the swimming pool. Walking distance to the train restaurant and the park's shop. Braai/barbeque facilities available. The transportation from Skukuza airport was also just perfect - game drive vehicle similar to the more expensive lodge transportation.
Everything about this hotel was perfect. The setting is incredible with its own private area within the national park. The hotel was luxurious and rooms were all spacious and beautifully decorated with a big decked outside area with plunge pool. The food was delicious especially the special BBQ night. All the staff were so friendly, professional and helpful. The safari experience was fantastic and our ranger Lazarus was amazing. Couldn't rate this place higher.
Pleasant stay in Skukuza, the clamping formula Yebo
Safari will allow you to change places in the Kruger park if you wish, tent comfort and everything available. Our guide Merriam has been attentive and funny throughout the stay, she has perfectly guided us to find the lion as well as the different animals of the national park, good advice on the places and information of the park. I highly recommend! We’ll be back!
Luxurious, beautiful hotel with friendly and attentive staff in all functions. The restaurant food was exceptional! Wonderful view of the river and impeccable design, incorporating the works of South African designers. Spa treatments available in-room, small curio shop on site and walking distance to the Kruger Shalati station. Experienced safari guides too.
I booked here after using Yebo Safaris in Skukuza and wasn't disappointed at all. We had a minor snafu in that two parties were booking into the same tent, but that was quickly sorted out. Otherwise one really cannot complain about the friendly staff, the tents, the location, etc. Will definitely use again,.
amazing hotel. the train cabins and the swimming pool on the bridge are once in a lifetime experience. the food was amazing, the free drinks and the safari rides where out of this world. we loved the hospitality and the way the take care of all the details. the free car wash was the cherry on the cake :-)
Beautiful hotel, great service, excellent food, helpful staff, amazing game drives with Theboho, been in the Kruger national park give you great chance to see a lot of game. Group of hippos lives just under the bridge under the train. Suites on land are just amazing: big, clean, comfortable.
Lovely spacious villa, well kitted out unit in the heart of the bush, staff that greeted us on arrival were lovely and the unit met all our needs and expectations for our trip, it is also close to the park gate and use of the facilities at the nearby hotel is nice as well.
A true hidden gem. Luxury tent rooms with all the little touches. Game drives included and our guide, Sorta, was fantastic. All the staff were amazing. Meals were divine. Everything so well thought out, clean, and beautiful location.
Priviledged situation in the midst of nature within the gated community of a large hotel.
The lodge has a really beautiful design and is very well equipped.
Clint is a superb host, always available and caring.
Great combination of perfect location and wonderful hotel. comfortable and clean rooms in a great environment. Food was excellent and with big variety .
