It was the quality of a motel six or 8 for $350 a night. The rooms were very, very basic. The towels were thin, and there were no other amenities in the room. We asked if we could buy a bottle of water downstairs, but they didn’t have any. They said the top water was drinkable.

Vancouver is an outdoorsy city ranking among the world’s most livable, sheltered by Vancouver Island and the Pacific Range mountains. The most famous peak, Grouse Mountain, is a favorite spot for hiking and skiing. Take the cable car up for magnificent views of the city's skyscrapers and huge Stanley Park.
Skirting this park is the Seawall, a popular biking trail with paths passing the Vancouver Aquarium, picnic spots and a pitch and putt course. There are also a couple of beaches, but the best ones are along English Bay in Kitsilano.
Granville Island is just across False Creek from Yaletown and houses some quirky shops and markets. Ferries depart from here to near BC Place Stadium and home field of the city’s football and soccer teams. The legendary Vancouver Canucks ice hockey team play next door at Rogers Arena.
With the largest Chinatown in North America, Gastown is the oldest part of Vancouver and is near the Canada Place cruise ship terminal.
We could go on and on about British Columbia's biggest city, but we could never do it justice, so why not try it for yourself? Booking.com has a fabulous range of accommodations, from hotels near Vancouver Airport in Richmond to downtown B&Bs and motels near all of its ferry ports.

Discovering something new every day.
Discovering something new every day. I really like the integration of the first nation, be it in the murals, at the sights or simply on information boards that you discover by chance. I also celebrate the vibe and the queer friendliness in the city, which you can see on every corner
There is a great culinary offer for Chinese / Japanese / Vietnamese food. Many delicious cafes in beautiful surroundings. Definitely worth seeing are Granville Island and Stanley Park, where you can spend a whole day each. The Seaside bike path is very nice to explore with the Mobi Rental bikes, located directly on the water and many bike stations where you can return the bikes and then explore the area on foot.
Unfortunately, I only discovered the murals too late, which are scattered all over the city and can be discovered via the "Van Mural Fest" app. They are very impressive.

Vanouver is a vibrant city and has a large amount of tourist attractions and outdoor areas to visit. Public transport is easy to use with a single ticket for Sea Bus (Ferry to north Vancouver) Trains and buses. Would recommend a day pass to use for all three at a very reasonable cost.

I have lived in many cities across Canada, Vancouver will and has always been without hesitation the absolute best city in every way. Food, atmosphere, surrounded by water, beautiful weather. The city gives you such a chill west coast vibe, pretty great people all and all. Food culture in every corner of this gem 💎
The Victorian Hotel is a cozy hotel in downtown Vancouver, close to Gastown and the harbor. The beds are very comfortable! The rooms have a very comfy vibe with the hardwooden floors and partly antique furniture. I didn't mind at all that my room had a shared bathroom. The bathrooms on the floor were very large, clean. I actually preferred it this way to having my own tiny bathroom. The staff is very friendly and accomodating with an excellent eye for detail. I would definitely choose this hotel again when I return to beautiful Vancouver.
This is the best place to stay in downtown Vancouver hands down and I’ve never even stayed anywhere else! From first impressions to last this one probably one of my favorite hotel stays. The concierges were incredible and welcoming I never had to lift a finger for doors or elevators. They put complimentary wine in my room for a birthday and the views are stunning! the room itself is so modern and clean, heated floors, led bathroom lights, integrated plug ins for usb on the lamps, just a 10/10 experience!
The location was perfect, walking distance to exceptional restaurants (and a very wide choice of them). Stanley Park was a 10 Minute Bus ride that stopped in front of the Hotel. Granville Island, easy to get to but a little longer ride (20-25 minutes). Vancouver has an excellent urban transportation system that stopped in front of the hotel or across the street, depending on direction, major urban train line 10 minute walk, downtown Gastown district (historic) was easy to get to also. Hotel was Perfect!
A beautiful property in downtown Vancouver, BC. The hotel and rooms are immaculate and rooms are equipped with everything one would need while traveling. Extra large bathroom with large showers and soaking tubs is such a plus. The beds were so comfortable and our king deluxe room had a living room with sofa and chairs and of course, a large screen TV. Excellent service all around with a concierge in the lobby to assist with anything. *****+
A great central location in downtown Vancouver, that felt both modern and excellent value for money. The staff were all friendly and helpful, and I was impressed with the room overall. Hotel Blu is a great option for business or leisure, and we found check out / collecting our car easy at 6am before we set off for a day of hiking at North Cascades National Park. With a few minor tweaks, this would be an exceptional hotel.
Loved the Wedgewood hotel. Bed was extremely comfortable decor tasteful in keeping with the style of the hotel. The spa treatment I experienced was exceptional with a highly capable therapist. There is a lovely bar where we enjoyed bar food on the evening of our arrival which was ideal after the fatigue of a long haul flight. The location at the centre of downtown Vancouver is a major plus in getting to know the city
Staff was friendly! Price was good. The building itself was older and it looked like they were renovating/painting. The location was not very good in terms of noise and very close to the main road, however was close to the hotel and provided free shuttle service to the airport which was a great help. I would stay again for a night before and after a flight out of Vancouver airport.
My stay at the hotel was unexpected. Because of a medical emergency on my cruise ship we had to spend the night in Vancouver. The location was wonderful, we just walked over from Canada Place. We used the bikes and rode around Stanley Park and some parts of downtown. Enjoyed our stay immensely, the hotel was beautiful and the amenities in the room were top notch.
The property is clean and well located. Most of the important Vancouver attractions can be reached walking. The rooms are large, the bed comfortable and a good coffee and tea selection is available. The hotel is also associated with one of the best restaurant in the city!
Great stay in a studio apartment, with the service of a hotel! Excellent location just a walk away from Canada Place, the sea wall, Vancouver Art Museum and much more. Very friendly staff! We also made use of the self-Service laundry and used the fitness center.
The hotel has a great location. The staff is very friendly. The complimentary breakfast was a nice surprise! Good choice if you need a place to stay for a couple of nights and be able to easily walk around Downtown. Good price/value ratio for Vancouver.
The staff here were so sweet, I originally booked a city view room, and they upgraded us to a harbour view! The happy hour at the P2B restaurant in this hotel is great and this will always be our favourite hotel whenever we stay in Downtown Vancouver!
hotel is nice with larger than average beds, I am 6'2" and their queen was great size. The coffee was normal and the location is fantastic, walking distance to gas town and most areas of downtown Vancouver. Parking was fair at about $25 per day.
Good central location close to good range of bars and restaurants; reasonable value compared to other downtown Vancouver options; good option for holiday travel needing a comfortable hotel without frills; works well for a short city break stay
very conveniently located near the airport. The shuttle is on time, the lobby offers a nice choice of quick meals to heat in the room's microwaves. Very decent price for a hotel in Vancouver. Rooms are quiet, with excellent WIFI
Good downtown location and very convenient for the Canada Line station at Vancouver City Centre and direct service to the airport. Easy walk to the Waterfront and shopping. Great location for the stadium, bars and restaurants.
The room was great and location of hotel is one of the best in downtown Vancouver. The room was modern with a nice sized tv. Reception staff were attentive ,nice and professional. The toto toilet was a nice luxury in the room.
The location of the hotel was very good. Close to major attractions in Downtown Vancouver, Bus Stops and Train Stops. Very easy to walk around the city and come back to the hotel. All staff were very friendly and helpful.
This was a great location and easy to get to from the airport—walking distance to everything in Downtown Vancouver. I loved how clean everything was and the covid protocols that were taken. I felt safe at the hotel.
This is a gorgeous hotel in downtown Vancouver with helpful and friendly staff. Highly recommended, especially if you are interested in a more boutique feel. Loved the free bikes!
