Customer service at the hotel was terrible Was built twice on my credit card for the same room. Tried to discuss the problem with the manager of the hotel, but he said he was too busy busy and transferred me to someone else. This is probably the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in would not recommend it.

We were only there for a day and went to a couple of museums but there's so much to see. We needed more time to cover more places. The history of this city is incredible. We highly recommend a visit if you're any type of history lover.

The best part was the free charging stations for the electric vehicles. The breakfast was mediocre and the check in process was horrible. Also they charge your cc before you ever arrive and it was not the booking rate I saved on this website and they blame that on booking.com . Additionally they accept no forms of payment other than credit card no cash. This place and room were not worth the price nor the 150.00 incidentals hold that still has not been released and I’m 2 days out. I wouldn’t stay here again.

I wish I had more time to do other things, but I got a lot done in the three days I was there. I went on a few city tours, and I can't say enough good things about the food. If you get a chance I would do a discover richmond food tour. It was great learning some of the history and enjoying food.

The breakfast was decent and had great coffee.
The breakfast was decent and had great coffee. The rooms smelled of smoke and I’m an asthmatic plus disable struggle with walking. The office contact me after a check in I reported the smell of smoke hit us as we entered the room. Staff never reached out to us as stated in my phone call. We advised we checked other rooms they smelled of smoke too. Staff just smiled and offered a fan. Since we were there for my niece. It was college move in week in the area other hotels were booked. Richmond is beautiful and people was very pleasant with southern charm.
The room we booked was a Deluxe King Suite which we found to be spacious and very comfortable. We particularly liked the layout of the room. We had stayed here before, several years ago, and we weren't disappointed on this occasion. The breakfast was good and there was a, relatively, good selection. The hotel is attached to a shopping mall which we found quite convenient
We really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel is in a good location and was very historic andatmospheric. We thought the rooms were large, clean and comfortable. All the staff were very friendly and helpful with recommendations of things to do and places to eat. Breakfast is available and we enjoyed it when we had it. There is a nice area to sit and relax.
Location was very good for me as I needed to be close to the University of Richmond. Other than the omelette, breakfast was shockingly poor. Also over the weekend, the hotel lobby gets too noisy with tons of kids and people talking very loudly and the sound gets amplified to my room on the 7th floor.
This is my go to hotel for work trips in Richmond, and it really is the Goldilocks of hotel: a clean, quiet, and comfortable place for everyday folks to get a good night’s sleep and keep on trucking. The best part is the beds. They have pillow top mattress covers and are SO comfortable.
Such a beautiful inn! Much better than any photo could show! Our "room" was a suite. Huge living room and bedroom. So comfortable I hated to leave! This inn has gardens too. very nice! Wouldn't hesitate to stay again. Wouldn't even consider any other hotel in Richmond!
Staff very helpful with special requests, e.g., ensuring delivered flowers were in the room prior to check-in.
Clean comfy room. Great location on downtown Richmond- within a half mile or so of many theatres, Shockoe Bottom, Cary Street shops, & good restaurants.
Location is good for rather easy off/on 295 and 95 when not rush hours. Short drive to downtown Richmond via 95. The grits on the breakfast buffet are amazing - dining room staff was great. Housekeeping we interacted with in the hallway were also very helpful.
I would have liked breakfast included, but the coffee place in the lobby did a good job. comfortable bed and room, nice bathroom. Great location for touring Richmond. Fun decor, nice ambience. snazzy but nothing like a chain hotel
Beautiful property! Our room was spacious and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious and a great value. The hotel staff was friendly and accommodating. This property was perfect for our visit to attend a wedding nearby.
The hotel, from the building to the rooms offered was a very unique twist form a modern feeling hotel. It has a very pleasant retro-artistic feel. The meeting rooms were very nice, and the dinner and dessert was very good.
The place to stay in downtown Richmond, especially if on your way to someplace else. Park, walk across the street to a great restaurant , walk back, sleep and wake up refreshed to continue your journey.
Breakfast very low quality food and fruit..coffee was very bad as far as tasting and so cheap type
The breakfast room too small and depressing..
Breakfast choices are limited ..egg ..
The location of the Berkeley is great, close to downtown Richmond. We had two rooms that exude luxury. The staff, in particular Raeyvin and Chris, were very helpful during our stay.
it’s located very well. the room was clean enough, bathroom needs a fan, updated bathroom and entrance in the room. decent for the price. 6 min drive to downtown, perfect.
The location was great, so close to downtown and the University of Richmond. The price was one of the cheaper options in the area. The beds and pillows were comfortable.
