We only stayed one night at the Central Plaza Hotel, but it was great! From the moment we entered the beautiful lobby, passing by the lively bar with live piano music, and checked in with very friendly and helpful staff, we felt completely welcome. We had requested a quiet room, and that request was met no problem. The room was large and spacious, modern and very clean. It’s a large hotel with many wonderful amenities and an excellent central location - just a 5 minute walk from the main train station, a 10 minute drive to the airport, and the buses and trams run from just outside the door. Highly recommend!

The morning and afternoon managers were extremely cooperative and very sweet and nice. The morning manager walked outside about 50 yards and showed us where to park. They went above and beyond their regular duties. They were very hospitable. The room was immaculately clean.

Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of...
Zurich is in some ways the best of big city and the best of a small town. If your life revolves around outdoor activities such as hiking, wake boarding, sailing, bicycling, rock climbing, mountain climbing, etc. then it is by far one of the best cities to live in. It's incredibly close to all of these things.
It's also centrally located in Europe, so you can easily visit France, Austria, Germany, or Italy with only a few hours train ride. You will travel a lot.
The city itself is beautiful. It is cleaner and safer than any other big city in the world. A corollary to the cleanliness is that you will spend far more of your life figuring out how to get rid of your trash than anywhere else you will ever live. (I personally was never able to fold my paper-recycling neatly enough to get it picked up. I am not joking.)
The Swiss are incredibly organized. Even the Germans make fun of how organized and un-spontaneous they are. When the government or a bank tells you to expect something within two weeks, it will probably show up in your mailbox within three business days. You will respond to mail faster than you ever have in your life.
The core of the city is only about 400,000 people. It's small. You may find yourself going nuts if you come from a big city, or if you like a bit of mayhem in your life. While there are many different activities to do, they may only happen once a week.

Zurich has so much character.
Zurich has so much character. Unlike other cities around the world, which build so many monuments and attractions, Zurich is “naturally” beautiful!! I spent most of my days traveling to other parts of Switzerland, but while in Zurich I was able to tour the Rhein falls, Lindt chocolate factory, the lake, the shops and much more!

Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere.
Beautiful city and very peaceful atmosphere. It was clean and quite a lot of interesting sites. Great mix of both old and new! Very expensive though. An icecream will be 4chan for 1 scoop and 8 or 9 chg for 2 scoops. A burger and fries at McDonald’s is 15-20chf which we thought was ridiculous. We took a couple of really great bus trips. One day to Leichtenstein and another day to Rheinfall, both were amazing!

Our favorite spots in Zurich were:
1.
Our favorite spots in Zurich were:
1. The Kunthaus museum, which has a spectacular collection of artworks and an insightful narrative
2. Luigia for dinner
3. Old town for shopping
4. Babu's for breakfast
We loved that it was accessible to areas further away like Rhine Falls and Uetliberg
What we didn't like
1. Everything was super expensive especially the Airbnb
This hotel was amazing! I had a view of the Limmat and Grossmunster Church. It's close to everything, the tram, metro, shops, restaurants, museums and easy to get around. I would highly recommend and will be returning. And the bonus, the bed I had was an adjustable bed...amazing! The staff was friendly and the breakfast was great as well. It's not far from the airport and easy to get to many attractions outside of Zurich. I have made great memories here as Zurich was on me and my late husband's bucket list.
Walking distance from the main train station, which is the hub for travel. You can travel from there to any place in Zurich as well as Switzerland. Also walking distance from a large supermarket and many bars and restaurants. The no 10 tram stops right in front of the hotel and this is the tram you can take from the airport. Very convenient. This tram also also take you to the main train station. The staff is very very friendly and helpful and are doing a great job.
The staff was very welcoming, we let the luggages there and went to visit town, they offered us coffee and smiles 😂. The location is perfect - near train station, trams, supermarkets, walk to the river. From the airport we reach here by tram. All you need is nearby. . The rooms were very clean and all bathrooms consumables very good. The breakfast excellent. . The staff exceptional. All was perfect. If we will be back in Zurich we will stay here for sure.
Great hotel, great staff (particularly thanks to Ginevra at the reception), really worth to stay over if you are travelling or if you are doing a stop at the Zurich Airport. Not too far from the city and well connected, not only via taxi but also via Trams and Buses.
The breakfast was ok, I was expecting a few more option but the things that were available were superb.
The restaurant was very good as well, a one-time free drink is included!
I was due to arrive at the airport in the evening and catch a train from Zurich central railway station at the beginning of the next morning. For me, it made sense to book a hotel near the central railway station, but in the knowledge that city-centre locations tend to be noisier. The hotel was a short walk from the station and near cafes, bars, restaurants and a large Co-Op supermarket. It was therefore very convenient for my travel plans.
I loved this cozy and friendly place, it’s a very nice location (you could get a very expensive hotel in the city centre, but here in addition to a good price, you are also in an area where local normal people live). The breakfasts were amazing: the best croissants I had in Switzerland! Everything was clean and nice. I booked a room with bathroom and toilet shared on the floor, but honestly, it felt like it was only my own!
Great location, just in the middle of the Old town, Great room, clean and quiet, with AC.
Hotel staff was very friendly and informative. The hotel offer us free drinks (wine and beer) during the Euro football matches, We had a great time watching Swiss defeating France!!! We parked our car outside the city center and took the light city train to the Hotel, cheapest way o get there. Suberp city, very clean good shopping!!!
This was such a convenient location in the heart of Zurich’s old town. It was really conveniently places and surrounded by the cities history at your doorstep. Trudy was really welcoming and we loved sipping grappa in her courtyard at sunset. Just at the front of her home is one of the cities fountains, we enjoyed a sunset dip and was one of our best experiences in Switzerland.
This is the first time I visit Zurich and glad that we chose Hotel Felix. The best thing with the hotel is the location. It’s in the Zurich Old Town which is the beautiful part. Restaurants and shops are walking distance. The hotel is very clean and modern. I will def recommend the hotel for someone who will visiy Zurich and if I go again, I will stay at the same hotel.
The room was very comfy and the hotel is centrally located in Zürich. We were able to walk downtown in less than 10 minutes. There are also some great food options nearby. We stayed here for the night before our departing flight and getting to the airport from here was really easy with public transport.
Quite part of town but still very much central. Staff were extremely friendly, the level of service and attention I received from them far exceeded 5 star hotels I have stayed at in Zurich. Really nice that mini bar contents are complimentary. Unique architecture as it was a beer distillery in the past.
The hotel is located on the quiet remote street, walkable distance from the old town. The design of the hotel is very nice! The decoration puts the Swiss milk and cow tradition. The room was very spacious and clean. We enjoyed our stay in Zurich and definitely recommend this hotel in the city centre.
Loved the location. Directly out front of the hotel is the metro stop. Which was super helpful to get around Zurich. Really enjoyed the room and the bathroom. Probably the best hotel, not owned by Hilton or Marriot, I have ever stayed in Europe. Highly recommend this location/hotel.
The reception staff was very helpful and English assistance was available.
I think we would recommend this hotel as the cost is fairly reasonable in Zurich and the access to the downtown and public transportations are very easy.
The hotel is located right by the number 10 tram which goes directly to Zurich airport and the main train station. It’s on a quiet street. The staff are really amazing, kind, friendly, and hardworking.
Very clean event before time check in i Recommended for everyone who try to visit zurich Switzerland its much better then a hotel very cheap and Rahman was a very friendly a special thanks to rahman
Location is very good, Goldbrunnen tram stop just seen from hotel. From there direct tram to main train station Zurich Hb ( and then to ZRH airport) every 10-15min.
This is a simple, but very good hotel in the best possible location. Perfectly clean, quiet, extremely central. All in all, a very good solution in Zurich.
