One of the oldest and most historic US cities, Boston is known as "America’s Walking City". In its heart, next to 18th-century Faneuil Hall, is Quince Market - a food haven. In the nearby seaport, you can take a whale-watching trip or dine at one of the many restaurants serving a Boston specialty: lobster with melted butter.
The streets south of the peaceful Charles River in Back Bay are lined with Victorian brownstone houses. At the downtown end of one – Beacon Street – is the Cheers bar, modeled on the 80's sitcom. Opposite is Boston Common, a large park with a bronze sculpture celebrating the book "Make Way for Ducklings". The golden dome of the House of Representatives is by the other end.
The oldest part is Charlestown and streets around the Bunker Hill obelisk still feature old-style gas lamps, though now they are electric. Over in Cambridge, Harvard is the USA’s oldest and most prestigious university. The campus is open to the public, as is Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), whose central point is an emblematic, Pantheon-like building.
Sport in Boston is also a big thing, with the Celtics and Red Sox among the city’s big name teams.
The largest New England city, Boston has the perfect size for walking and cycling. Logan International Airport is connected by public transport to Boston hotels, motels, apartments and B&Bs.
Don't let the stereotypes fool you. The people of Boston, while not talkative like I am coming from the south, were the nicest city of strangers I have met, and you can feel a sense of comradery. Multiple instances I had some of the best of a food I'd ever had. The architecture is beautiful and the city is filled to the brim with history around every corner. Be prepared to walk for a deep appreciation of the architecture - it is sprinkled and spaced out all across the city. But it is worth it.

Downtown Boston is a beautiful city with gardens at nearly every turn, all with an incredibly safe feel. Everything is super walkable. There are supurb restaurants and bars. History is literally all around you, and the brick-lined Freedom Trail is neat (but I highly suggest going on one of the led tours - the tour leaders are passionate and knowledgeable). We went in the beginning of May this time, and the weather was cool-ish but good for walking.
Recommendations... Great restaurants are all around but especially great are The Sail Loft and Granary Tavern. Attractions - don't miss Boston Common and the Public Gardens, the Freedom Trail, and Fenway Park. If you're a shopper, Newbury Street is neat. Definitely stay in the downtown area so you don't have to deal with traffic or pay the exorbitant parking garage prices. If you are flying in, you really don't even need a car, as everything is walkable and the airport is a short $20-30 taxi ride away.
This is simply my favorite city in all of America. I've been four times now, and it never fails to impress.

Boston is a great city - not too large to be overwhelming.
Boston is a great city - not too large to be overwhelming. Driving in the city can be difficult, at times, with a lot of one-way streets and many impatient drivers. Taking the T and walking is a better way to navigate. Ubers and Lyfts are readily available.
The duck boats are a great way to get an introduction to the city. Boston Common is beautiful, especially this time of year, and the new MLK sculpture is neat to check out.
jm Curly is a cool bar and grill with mostly American fare. We enjoyed our meal there. We really loved the South Street Diner! It has excellent food and a wonderful waitstaff. Perfect place for brunch.
During our stay we checked out the Auschwitz exhibition and recommend this experience. It is here for a short period of time.
We also took in the musical, "Hadestown," at the Wang Theatre which is across the street from the hotel. This was excellent.

First off, we are from a small town in middle Georgia and Boston can be overwhelming for country folk like us. Those more acclimated to big city life would probably be comfortable navigating the city and more able to enjoy what it has to offer. We found our way to our hotel with minimal difficulty and even ventured out and found great food for dinner. We were there as a stop over between Cape Cod, Logan airport and home but would liked to have seen some of the historical points under other circumstances.

I come to Boston mostly for work (excellent science), but also really like the city. I love running along Charles, and a lot of nice places in North end to dine or have a cup of coffee. Lots of museums/attractions. The city is above average noisy, but it is also very charming and has something for pretty much everyone.
The property is very convenient to Boston commons and other popular spots. we felt like we were right in the middle of everything. The apartment was clean. and we liked having the extra living/kitchen space compared to most hotel rooms. As expected for a downtown apartment, the bathroom was small. We felt very safe in the area and there was a security guard in the lobby every night after 11 pm which we felt wasn’t needed at all, but nice added comfort. I would highly recommend if you’re staying in Boston!
great Location, easy to walk to Boston Commons, North end, seaport, or back bay areas. or if you’d rather take public transport it’s very close to the green, red, and orange line. a short walk to South Station where you can get a bus to and from the airport.
Theres department stores, pharmacy, and convenience stores nearby to buy anything you might have forgotten. The hotel was clean, felt safe, and staff was friendly.
This is a very big hotel, very elegant and the breakfast was fantastic. You could have the full buffet or have it served to you.
Thankfully it was included in the price as it was expensive. The whole atrium/Reception was very grand and could not be faulted. It's situated away from downtown in a quieter location, but it's an easy walk through Boston Common to get to the busier town. The bed was comfortable.
The hotel is so clean! Never had such a clean room! Plus the rooms were modern, beds were comfortable, and staff were friendly especially the bellman. Location was good and we walked a lot so downtown can be a bit far to walk to but we much preferred this quieter side of Boston and it’s close distance to Fenway. Rooftop pool is also beautiful. Highly recommend Jaho Artisan coffee about 2 min walk from hotel.
I love the room and that the hotel was right in the center of downtown. Everything was within walking distance plus at night the city looks so different very pretty. I drove 2 hours away to get to Boston and was very pleased with this hotel and it's staff. Also I love that each floor had a filter water machine with bottles I think I visited that machine one time to many 😂
airport shuttle is very convenient, call the hotel and they pick up.
rooms are very clean and large
breakfast was eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles, cereal, some cut fruit, yoghurt, baked goods, juice fountain, very convenient. also coffee and tea 24/7 is super cool
the hotel shuttle can take you to the train station and from there quick trip to downtown Boston
The hotel was centrally located in downtown Boston with access to most of the central city. The room was modern and equipped with two comfortable queen-sized beds. The lift, when it arrived, travelled very quickly. On 17th floor, we had good views of the City and rooftop bar. Our luggage was stored at no cost both on arrival and departure.
Location right on the waterfront and close to Hanover Street was excellent. We could walk to most places in central Boston.
The room was good and very comfortable. We had one meal in the hotel and that was good and well priced for a hotel.
the location was perfect, close to the boston common n downtown.
the room was clean, the bed was confortable, the staff was very friendly...the free coffee, tea n water was very thoughtfull...
i recomand this hotel
The free shuttle bus service was great
The driver we had was super helpful in making sure we knew where we were going and how best to get back to the hotel after a day out in Boston!
We loved everything about our short stay! 10-15 min drive to downtown Boston. The hotel was very safe and secure, the staff were super friendly, and breakfast was great! 🙂
Luxurious casino hotel on the Mystic River. Lots of amenities and a great casino. Rooms are beautiful. Rates are good. And a nice amenity is free ferry to downtown Boston.
This hotel is in the Seaport with lots of restaurants and bars nearby and just under a half hour walk to Boston Common. Very close to the airport.
Good wifi throughout
Location is great, just in the heart of Boston downtown.
I loved the interior design of rooms and of the whole hotel.
Staff was really nice and helpful.
