Located in San Francisco, the Cow Hollow Inn and Suites offers nonsmoking accommodations to guests. Free self parking for 1 car per room and free WiFi is provided.

The parking is excellent and secure which is a plus in San Francisco. The room was clean and easy to get to. The view was of the parking lot next door that has garbage all over the place, but the view of the downtown buildings was pretty cool. The location is excellent. Easy to get to and in a very "happening" area with lots of places to eat and/or drink. This area has always been very safe to go to and this was our 5th time staying there.

Executive Hotel Vintage Court, hotel in San Francisco

This San Francisco hotel is located just 2 blocks from Union Square and 5 blocks from the Powell Street BART Station.

The room was fantastic, very large (great size), great views, comfortable bed, and very clean. The breakfast was included in the price, which was a great value too, and very delicious and plentiful. Location to our Pier for our cruise was excellent, about 1.5 miles away and easy access to terminal. The location was close to restaurants and souvenir shops, which was excellent for travels. I also wanted to mention that the services from the Hotel folks at the front desk was amazing and the best I have ever experienced in 50 years, and I travel extensively for business and leisure. Those folks helped with getting your bags from/out of your car to your room and the from the front desk to loading it in your car when leaving, helped with parking at the front and providing information on parking garages nearby, helped with directions and maps to rental car location and restaurants/shopping and Pier for cruise. They were very kind and very professional and just a pleasure to deal with to help us with anything we needed...Excellent and Job Well Done!!!

FAQs about hotels in San Francisco

An Icon of Liberalism

Home to one of America’s icons – the Golden Gate Bridge – San Francisco is a liberal city where life is very much for the living.

Surrounded by water on 3 sides, the city's spread over steep hills that make for great photo ops. And none better than the zig-zag Lombard Street, seen in many a film. Even more famous are San Fran's iconic trolleys climbing the hills – a little touristy, but still worth a ride.

In the middle of the bay, Alcatraz island is known for the notorious criminals once imprisoned there. Even if you don’t go inside, the views of the bridge and city are unparalleled.

Nowhere is life in San Francisco more laid-back than on the Pacific beaches. Rent a bike and head out there, passing through the huge Golden Gate Park, before returning to sample some fresh seafood at Fisherman’s Wharf. Don't miss the clam chowder served in bread bowls! Chinatown also has a great selection of mid-range restaurants.

As you fly into San Francisco Airport, look out for the exclusive homes lining the Bay Area. Whether you want a more independent stay in apartments, luxury San Francisco hotels or cheap hostels, Booking.com has something for everyone. Be careful though – you might just leave your heart here!

Since the homeless were hustled out of the City to make it...

Since the homeless were hustled out of the City to make it look good for the Chinese visitors a while ago, it's not as bad as it was but still not great. However, there are still many car break-ins happening and are warned by the hotels to not leave anything in your car. The DeYoung Museum, The Academy of Sciences, Golden Gate Park, Japantown, China Town, The Momo and the wharfs are all favorite places to visit. Getting around is very slow due to traffic and parking is expensive. When you leave the City, do not attempt it past 2:30PM as traffic is barely creeping. I suggest taking Lift or Uber around the City during your stay, they are everywhere and inexpensive. We always eat in Japantown, restaurants in the Filmore District, and just outside of Golden Gate Park. Enjoy the City as there is a lot to experience.

We stayed in union Square area and it was a 5 minute walk from the Powel station bart. The area felt safe and clean, we stayed away from the Tenderloin. Taking the cable cars to peir 39 was fun, so many great places to eat seafood and visit the shops, we saw an improvement in panhandling and streets were clean we are already planning our next visit. We recommend eating at the Sears restaraunt and Lori's 50's diner, the Matador for Mexican food, and The Chancellor Hotel was excellent.

Actually a great city for tourism. But lately too many homeless in the street / people who using drugs or smoke marijuana in some location really make a not so comfortable experience.. The government should do something about it.

I love San Francisco for the convenience of walking around and having plenty to do all day. They have plenty of beautiful parks and locations to enjoy the views and sights of San Francisco. There are so many museums and attractions, and so much to learn about the area and it’s cultures and environment. This visit San Francisco looked and felt so much cleaner than a year ago that I visited. My family walked to many places feeling safe.

The hotel is located in the beautiful Nob Hill area close to the downtown and North Beach. The room and washroom were expecially clean, had all necessary facilities which I needed at my stay. Both the room and the hotel have classic and old European luxurious style. I liked it very much! Although I did not visited a dining area or a bar (wanted to try different tastes of food in the city), I believe the meals are fantastic! If I come back to San Francisco, absolutely, I will stay at this hotel again!

We were on a trip with family (7 persons) and had four rooms. It was very convenient, directly at Union Square in the center with shops, restaurants and sightseeing points around. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We requested a quiet room and got the rooms all inside to the pool which was amazing. You are in San Francisco, have a pool and you are at the center of SF. Room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Even a parking garage is available direct in the hotel. Highly recommend!

The hotel is very good for the price. We were very satisfied because all the hotels in SF are extremely expensive. We live in the bay area of San Francisco so we knew the neighborhood and were aware that it's a neighborhood with a lot of homeless people. So we went into the hotel aware of this negative point. But it didn't bother us during our stay. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, very well decorated, small but very suitable for us!

Received free upgrade to an excellent room facing the city with balcony - sound during night wasn't too bad, and during day also sufficiently dampened by glass. Located right off Union Square, easy access to different modes of transportation (e.g., bus/metro/cable car). Just above Tenderloin district (an area which you should avoid), but not noticeable in streets around hotel.
