Nicknamed the Emerald City due to its lush greenery, Seattle is best known for its great waterfront, fantastic skyline and infamous rainy weather. In reality though, the city gets less rain a year than New York or Atlanta!
One look at Seattle’s skyline and you’re immediately drawn to the iconic Space Needle. Standing proudly at 600 feet, this major landmark features a rotating restaurant at 490 feet and has been featured in numerous films and TV shows, including the classic "Sleepless in Seattle."
The Needle isn't far from the popular Pike Place Market, a public farmer’s market selling fresh produce and crafts from local farms and independent merchants. It’s also the place where the Starbucks Corporation was founded in 1971. Enjoy a cup of coffee in their original store!
Seattle has many popular parks and, thanks to its mild marine climate, is a great place for outdoor activities. A visit to Kerry Park to admire the best view of the city with Mt. Rainier in the background is a must!
Arriving at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport, you’re only about 35 minutes from downtown and whether you’re looking for a hotel with free parking or near the airport, Booking.com has a great choice for your Seattle trip.
We had a great time in Seattle. The Museaum of Pop Culture (MoPop) was really fun for all ages. The Space Needle was fun to see. The Chihuly Glass Museaum was gorgeous! Once we parked, we walked from one to the other. Traffic was awful and you have to pay for parking in most locations.

I have been living here in Washington State since December...
I have been living here in Washington State since December 1999 and Seattle was so beautiful and enjoyable to visit, but over time the city is horrible, looks like a dump, smells like feces and garbage! Buildings look run down and the streets are filled with pot holes, garbage, homeless people and drug addicts! The crime is horrible, my daughter almost has gotten grabbed a few times of being there with us! Rent and prices are sky rocketed etc. Seattle is a horrible place to visit now a days!

Seattle and the Puget Sound area are absolutely beautiful...
Seattle and the Puget Sound area are absolutely beautiful with many things to see and do. It’s fun to ride the ferry over to Bainbridge Island for some unique shopping and then go further West to the quaint Scandinavian city of Poulsbo for more interesting shopping and dining.
The only down side to the Seattle area is the traffic. Since routes are geographically limited, if the main arteries get clogged, you have to pack your patience and sit through the aggravating traffic snarls.

Seattle is a big and bustling city with good public...
Seattle is a big and bustling city with good public transport and a beautiful boardwalk. I loved visiting MOPOP (the Museum of Popular Culture) and the Pike Street Market. The international district seemed pretty cool too, and there were a lot of gigs and shows that were on when I was there.
There seem to be a lot of parks and walks to do.
However there were some places where I didn't feel safe wandering alone, and the city is very dirty. It was also a little expensive, I found.

A great city to visit.
A great city to visit. Really easy to get around using rail, buses and plenty of walking.
Lots to see and do.
Just be careful walking around at night as with many cities a lot of homeless and drug crime on the streets. A lot of police and security present in the main areas which helps make you feel safe. Use taxis to get around at night, fairly cheap.
Would recommend to visit.
This hotel is located in a safe neighborhood downtown. You can easily find Starbucks, grocery stores, restaurants, and shopping malls.
Only 5 min walk distance to the nearest light rail (direct to the airport) and monorail stations.
I would like to express my appreciation to the staff.
I left my cell phone in the hotel room. They helped me to find it immediately and sent it to me through UPS.
Many thanks!
Our room, already at a good rate, was upgraded because they had the space! Staff welcoming and helpful with checkin, parking and closeby restaurant information. Elevator was very nice. Location perfect for the purpose of our stay. Restaurant in hotel was very good for breakfast and we enjoyed the menu and atmosphere. Walking distance to waterfront and most other attractions and stores in downtown Seattle.
Best value for money hotel in Seattle. Very clean room, comfortable bed, coffee machine, and AC a plus on hot summer days. You can easily travel to/from downtown Seattle in 20 minutes on the 21 bus or red rapid line. Nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants and supermarkets. Can do a nice walk (2 miles) to Lincoln Park or Alki Point.
The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Seattle with restaurants to chose from one street over on 4th Ave. Nordstrom was also one street over. It is within walkable distance to Lumen Field, Pike Place Market and the space needle. I chose to have city views and it was AMAZING. I will definitely stay there again.
Great location in downtown. Convenient parking (high rate, but the same as most downtown hotels). We had a great view from our room on a high floor. The room was new and modern. Super clean. Functional. Spacious room which was good for our six night stay. The best bed and shower on out trip with seven different hotel stays.
The beds were comfortable. The strategic location was good. The price was much cheaper than any other motel or hotel we could find in Seattle. There was a bus going into downtown Seattle from right outside door. There are pretty neighborhoods to walk through on both sides of hwy 99 that take you to Greenlake area.
The hotel centrally located in downtown Seattle. This gave us ease to get around town on foot and public transportation. The staff was very nice and made our trip very nice. They were able to let us check out but store luggage since our flight was later in the day. That gave us a day of sightseeing :)
lovely hotel steeped in history and charm, it had unmistakable style whilst managing to offer all the requirements of a modern hotel. The location is perfect for downtown Seattle and also for getting to the conference centre. And having Oliver's onsite is a real plus.
Great location for our stay in Seattle. Highly recommended. Very close to Light Rail station for trips downtown or to/from airport. Room was large & comfortable. Great staff. Be sure to check out The Mountainering Club rooftop bar.
A very elegant hotel and friendly staff. The rooms are good size, clean and comfortable. It’s a short walk to the space-needle tower or downtown Seattle public market area. Good pizza shop nearby Rizzis Pizzeria.
The hotel is right downtown and only a block from the light rail station. It was super easy to get from the airport to the hotel. Once there, it was a short walk to catch the monorail to the Seattle Center.
I had a room facing the back courtyard and found it quite quiet (bonus) given the downtown location. Room was well appointed. When we return to Seattle, I will definitely consider the Silver Cloud Hotel.
A very nice individual hotel concept.
The location is in the middle between downtown and the needle. We discovered Seattle by feet.
The hotel offers parking places behind the hotel.
Simple hotel room that was close to pike place and the ferry. Also not too far away from the space needle, downtown and restaurants. Good hotel for short trips to Seattle.
excellent location. Just a few steps from pike place market, downtown, target, train and waterfront. Nice American restaurant- very good burger and not expensive.
Good location downtown Seattle. Close to the piers and Pike Place Market. Walking distance from the train station (a bit uphill and about 10-15', but easy).
Place was clean, beautiful and located in the heart of downtown Seattle. Staff was extremely pleasant and there was a restaurant right there in the hotel.
