2011 IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics (ICM)

  • 13-15 Apr 2011
  • Istanbul Technical University, Turkey

Description

Following the success of previous ICMs, the biennial IEEE International Conference on Mechatronics, ICM 2011 aims to provide a multidisciplinary forum between researchers from industry and academia to discuss state-of-the-art topics in mechatronics and present recent research results and prospects for development in this evolving area. We also welcome proposals for special sessions

Our choice for Istanbul as the conference venue was in response to the repeated interest of many colleagues to see the city. While for some this may be a first time, we know for many this will be a re-visit of a memorable past trip to this charming and mystical city, that changes dramatically in its modernity while maintaining its old world beauty and charm. Due to its well-recognized place in the world as a mega city with its history, culture, and natural beauty, Istanbul was chosen to be the European Capital of Culture for 2010 , hence, this is a very good time to visit Istanbul and a great opportunity to see the past and the future, Hagia Sophia and Topkapi, Europe and Asia, all in one city. This visit will provide you an opportunity to see monuments of Roman and Ottoman Empires in Istanbul and even remnants from BC era in Aegen and Mediterranean regions of Turkey, just a few hours away.

As ICM 2011 organizing committee, we will make every effort to make your visit a unique experience for you, with productive technical and memorable social activities .
