2nd Annual Green Universities Conference 2011

The 2nd Annual Green Universities Forum highlights various issues to help Australian universities becoming more environmentally sustainable.

With society s increasing emphasis on green practices and sustainability, we have seen some significant movements in modern business culture and changes in personal lives. As a university, where we often teach our next generation about these important environmental issues, how should we act to get in line with the rest of the community to be green and eco friendly especially when large university campuses can contribute greatly towards environmental footprint?

In Australia, universities have campuses spread over large geographical areas, and the link between these campuses invite questions over sustainability. The 2^nd 2nd Annual Green Universities Conference 2011 will highlight the various areas that universities can act responsible and provide real case study examples of how setting benchmarks and positively influencing attitudes and culture will result in a more sustainable university, both for students, for staff, and ultimately for Australia.
