The 7th european congress: Perspectives in Gynecologic Oncology will be an international forum for attendees to share and enhance their knowledge on gynecologic cancers. Distinguished faculty and key opinion leaders will offer case-based discussion and practical approaches to the management of cervical, endometrial and ovarian cancers that can be applied to clinical practice. After successfully completing this educational activity, participants should be able to:
Assess the appropriate clinical usage of the human papilloma virus (HPV) vaccines in the prevention of cervical cancer and the role of preventative screening in the vaccination era
Apply advances in targeted therapy and surgical approaches to clinical practice for advanced and metastatic cervical cancer Determine ways to adequately manage cervical cancer in the pregnant patient
Summarize advances in and the role of adjuvant radiotherapy and chemotherapy in the management of endometrial cancer
Discuss recent clinical advances among uterine sarcomas and trophoblastic disease as they relate to the therapeutic management of these diseases
Determine the optimal surgical management of ovarian cancer as well as appropriate timing of second-line chemotherapy based on disease stage and clinical presentation
Discuss clinical data that may provide evidence to support new treatment options in ovarian cancer
Formulate the most favorable approach in the management of gynecological cancers by incorporating expert perspectives based upon emerging data
