Purpose and Objectives AAE National Asthma Educator Certification and Recertification Review Course Course Objectives Upon completion of the conference, participants should be able to: Apply knowledge gained in this course to the National Asthma Educator Certification Exam Discuss the trends in asthma prevalence, morbidity, and mortality. Discuss barriers to adherence as they apply to self-assessment and self-management of asthma. Utilize problem-based learning to develop a plan of care for a patient with persistent asthma. Understand the four sections of the EPR-3, as they apply to the NAECB examination.
