The sector revived at 12. International Auto Show 2010, which is ranked in the same category with closely followed Paris, Geneva, Tokyo and Frankfurt Auto shows. Most of the exhibited cars at the show were sold. The number of visitors beat the record and the show hosted 650 thousand visitors.

Auto Show 2010, which increased the business volume of automotive sector, was organized on 10-19 October 2008 at CNR Expo Center in Istanbul. Auto Show 2010, which has International Organization of Motor Vehicle Manufacturers OICA accreditation was organized by Istanbul Trade Fairs with the support of Automotive Distributors Association ODD.

Zafer aglayan, The Minister of Industry and Trade, cut the tape at the opening of the show. Also chairman of Koc Holding Mustafa Koc, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce President, Murat Yalc ntas and Turkey Exporters Association President Mehmet Buyukeksi attended to the opening of the show.

This year around 200 companies exhibited at Auto Show 2010. Organized at an area of 120.000 sqm, the show attracted great attention. 48 brands introduced their new products in the show, where there were long queues at the entrances and thousands of visitors inside the halls.

VW, Porsche, Ferrari, Maserati, Lancia, Alfa Romeo, Saab, Chevrolet, Lamborghini, Bentley, Seat, Audi, Skoda, Mercedes Benz, Smart, Chrysler, Volvo, BMW, Mini, Land Rover, Jaguar, Lexus, Toyota, Dacia, Nissan, Renault, Mazda, Hyundai, Jeep, Mitsubishi, Opel, Fiat, Daihatsu, Suzuki, Citroen, Great Wall, Kia, Geely, Subaru, Proton, Ford, Peugeot, Honda, Ssangyong, Tata, Samand, Chery and Dodge were the brands exhibited at Auto show 2008.
