Civic Exchange is organizing a four-day international event called Climate Dialogue: Low Carbon Cities for High Quality Living to be held in Hong Kong from 3 to 6 November, 2010. [ Registration not yet open; but please click here to sign up for CONFERENCE UPDATES ] Hong Kong will host a four-day international conference that brings together stakeholders in the public and private sectors to exchange views on how to expedite the trajectory to tackle climate change. The conference will include a C40 workshop to provide a platform for policy-makers and experts from cities from around the world to share experience on policies and technologies to achieve low carbon living. Hong Kong has a unique role in Asia to play a consensus-building role. Join us and be part of the solutions!
Day 1 3 November 2010 (Wednesday) Science & Policy Day
Updating on the latest climate change science and linking it to how science can assist policy-makers.
Day 2 4 November 2010 (Thursday) Policy & Action Day
Addressing the key social-economic, energy, financial, and international political implications related to climate change.
Days 3 & 4 5-6 November 2010 (Friday & Saturday) C40 Hong Kong Workshop
Exploring action paths from the C40 Cities for low carbon living with a special focus on buildings (retrofits and new buildings), and transportation (particularly, the implementation of electric vehicles).
