EE Times Virtual Conference: Medical System Design 2010

  • 20 May 2010
  • Online Event

Description

Many of today`s embedded engineers are being asked to design for a new application area-medical. While it may be intimidating to think of your device as potentially `life saving,` it doesn`t have to be. As in any design, there are a series of guidelines that should be adhered to, regardless of whether you`re building a low-cost glucose monitor or a high-end defibrillator. If you follow these guidelines you will be okay. But where do you find those guidelines? Hopefully, you don`t have to navigate the waters of the AMA or the FDA. The best place to start is at our Virtual Conference covering Medical System Design. We`ll teach you not just what you need to know, but also who you need to know, and what information is necessary to build a medical device. Planned tracks include:

  • Navigating the regulatory bodies
  • Designing fail-safe systems
  • Making your OS `medical-ready`
