In view of the diversity of papers presented at EXCON 08 the International Advisory Committee decided to extend the full title of EXCON conferences from International Conference on Excitonic Processes in Condensed Matter to International Conference on Excitonic and Photonic Processes in Condensed and Nano Materials . And following the tradition of EXCON series, EXCON will also maintain its focus on both experimental and theoretical topics on current research in excitonic and photonic processes in nanostructure, organic and inorganic condensed materials.
EXCON`10 is expected to provide an interdisciplinary forum for materials scientists, photo-physicists, photo-chemists and industry researchers to discuss novel and new results in their fields of research.
Presentations on the following but not exclusive research topics will be included in EXCON`10:
Quantum confined excitons and low dimensional systems
Excitons in nanostructures
Single-exciton studies, micro-spectroscopy of excitons
Photo-biological processes
Excitonic electroluminescence and photoluminescence
Scintillators and phosphors
Frenkel excitons in molecular aggregates, energy transfer
Ab initio calculations and computational simulations of exciton phenomena
Exciton condensation and superfluidity
Exciton coherence phenomena
Polaritonic effects and applications
Biexciton and multi-exciton complex, nonlinear optical phenomena
Ultrafast studies of exciton phenomena
Plasmonic phenomena
Photonic crystal and its novel phenomena
Organic and inorganic light emitters and photovoltaics
Laser materials and detectors
Negative refractive index processes and metamaterials
