European Medical Waste Conference 2013

Every year the European Medwaste Institute initiates the European Medical Waste Conference. The most important goals of the conference are: - Sharing knowledge about Medical Waste Management through lectures and round table discussions of the most foreknown medical waste professionals and experts - Networking with all the important people of the medical waste community both national as international - Creating and improving awareness around the subject of medical waste segregation, reduction and treatment of pharmaceuticals.
Medical Waste Management involves the gathering, transport and processing of medical waste. Although hospitals are starting to tackle the problem individually, there is no uniform European legislation to date. At the European Medical Waste Conference, knowledge and experience will be brought together to educate medical staff and work towards pan-European legislation. Both the national as the international regulations regarding medical waste are considered at the conference.
