This educational activity has been developed to provide medical
oncologists, radiation oncologists, surgeons, urologists, and other
healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of recent
advances in the management of prostate and renal cell cancers.At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- List therapeutic approaches to optimize outcomes for patients with advanced prostate cancer, including the importance of managing bone metastases
- Compare and contrast traditional chemotherapies with novel chemotherapeutic agents in the management of patients with castration-resistant prostate cancer
- Discuss the rationale and evaluate the clinical utility of biomarkers to guide the therapeutic decision-making process in patients with renal cell carcinoma
- Describe current management strategies utilizing targeted therapies for patients with metastatic renal cell carcinoma based on prognostic risk stratification and toxicity-related issues
