MICRONORA 2010 - 18th International microtechnology Trade fair

Micronora, Europe s leading exhibition for the microtechnics and micro- and nanotechnologies sector, launched nearly 40 years ago, is held every two years in Besan on (Franche-Comt , eastern France). The next Micronora from 28 September to 1 October 2010 will be officially opened by the French Minister for Industry, Christian Estrosi.

Targeting the precision engineering and miniaturisation sectors, Micronora is a niche exhibition covering a range of innovative, complementary multi-technology activities from R&D to outsourcing and production technologies. The exhibition is organised in trade sectors presenting a mix of technologies applicable to different hi-tech industry sectors.

Microtechnology occupies an increasingly important position in industry worldwide and is now one of the fastest developing sectors. This is because every market and every industry sector has a requirement for the tiniest, super-smart precision devices and systems. These technologies make businesses more efficient and competitive in ever more demanding markets and enable them to develop new products and new outlets, on a scale unimaginable a few years ago. Once again, Micronora will highlight emerging trends pointing the way forward to new markets.

Highlights of the 2010 session
Again in 2010, Micronora will focus on nanotechnologies by hosting the 7th Micro and Nanotechnologies brokerage event organised by the Enterprise Europe Network; it will also hold a series of talks in partnership with the FEMTO-ST research centre and there will be a pavilion dedicated to exhibitors from the sector.

The activities of the Besan on-based Microtechniques cluster, officially recognised as a technology cluster five years ago, will be placed in the spotlight at this forthcoming session.

The Microns d Or competition will turn the spotlight on the most noteworthy microtechnology innovations.

Finally, for the first time Micronora will be hosting the national sheet metal cutting and stamping industry conference, the Assises Nationales du D coupage-Emboutissage.
