Life and Disability Insurance Medical Directors require current and up to date medical information in order to assess risks accurately and appropriately. Review of current morbidity and mortality data is crucial in order to better serve the insurance industry and the insurance buying public. The scientific program is designed for the medical officers of legal reserve life insurance companies, who assist ACLI in identifying medical/scientific topics and issues of concern to life insurance medicine and its relationship to the underwriting and claims process. These physicians represent a wide range of expertise and day-to-day exposure to current medical issues. The program`s primary purpose is to keep medical officers abreast of state-of-the-art clinical information on pertinent subjects.
