Description

It is my great honor and pleasure to invite you to the International Symposium: Safe, patient friendly and low cost IVF- a road to the future which is taking place in Antalya, Turkey, April 23-25, 2010. This special event will be held by the Society of Private IVF Centers in Turkey, which is one of the leading societies in the field and having members including not only the IVF clinicians but also the embryologists and other related practitioners.

Approximately 30 years have been passed since the birth of the first IVF baby and developments in the field have provided considerable increase in the pregnancy rates. But problems such as increased complications rates of OHSS, multiple pregnancies, concerns for babies, stress experienced by the couples during long term medications, high cost of the treatment and ethical dilemmas have been the recent topics of the IVF agenda.
Therefore, the importance of safe, patient friendly and low cost IVF applications has been currently inreasing. During the symposium we will discuss the medical and financial perspectives of the Assisted Reproductive Technologies and will reach some answers to the controversies. Special focus will be upon the mild stimulation strategies and the value of decreased number of embryos to be transferred. The organizing committee in co-operation with the scientific committee has already assembled a number of outstanding invited speakers including the experts as well as non IVF practitioners.
We hope that you will enjoy not only the scientific part of the program but also the cultural history of Antalya, Turkey. Yours Sincerely,
Kubilay Vicdan
President of Symposium
