Surgical Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology with Microscopy Workshop
This course is designed to provide a comprehensive review of the pathologic processes that affect the oral and maxillofacial areas, including major and minor salivary glands, jaws and oral mucosa. Neoplastic, inflammatory, odontogenic, fibro-osseous, developmental, and metabolic diseases are discussed, with emphasis on histopathologic criteria and clinical correlation that would aid a practicing surgical pathologist in establishing a diagnosis. Both lecture and microscopic slide review will be used. This course is appropriate for general pathologists, oral pathologists, residents, fellows, and other practitioners who are interested in the histopathology of oral and maxillofacial disease. Includes Salivary Gland Fasicle CD and online access to slides for one year following course.

Clinical Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology
This course is designed to provide a broad-based review of clinical conditions in oral and maxillofacial pathology. Developing a differential diagnosis on the basis of clinical information will be emphasized. Radiographic conditions, soft tissue masses, ulcers, and pigmented lesions will be included. This course is appropriate for dentists, oral and maxillofacial surgeons, ENT surgeons, general pathologists, residents, fellows, dental hygienists and other practitioners who are interested in the clinical aspects of diagnosing oral and maxillofacial disease.

Participants in Surgical Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology will gain:

• Enhanced knowledge of the pathology of common and unique diseases of the oral and maxillofacial region, including salivary gland neoplasia.
• Improved recognition of the histopathologic featuresof oral and maxillofacial tumors.
• Appropriate application of special studies for diagnostic adjuncts such as immunohistochemical and histochemical techniques.

Participants in Clinical Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology will gain:

• Enhanced recognition of the clinical features of common and unique diseases of the oral and
  maxillofacial region, including salivary glands.
• Improved ability to formulate a differential diagnosis, leading to an appropriate treatment plan
  with further diagnostic tests as needed.
• Better understanding of clinicopathologic correlations.
