The International Forum for Disaster Victim Identification 2012

The procedure of identifying victims of disasters either major (such as terrorist attacks or earthquakes) or smaller (such as aeroplane crashes) cannot rely on  visual recognition alone. Comparison of dental records, fingerprints,  and / or DNA samples with ones stored in databases or taken from victims’ personal effects are often required to obtain a conclusive identification.

The International Forum for Disaster Victim Identification is dedicated to legislation and techniques involved in Disaster Victim Identification (DVI).

The International Forum for Disaster Victim Identification brings together experts in Disaster Victim Identification (DVI).
