The event is being opened by Pavel Savranskiy Deputy Development Director at Electronic Moscow OJSC and Head of the Electronic Moscow Datacenter Project who will present the innovative capital city project and its contribution to the domestic industry and its approach to energy efficiency. Mr Savranskiy has managed a range of challenging datacentre projects and he was among the first Russian specialists to receive the BICSI Certificate.

In another unique part of the programme, the leadership of five local datacenter companies have been brought together to discuss future growth and include Andrey Gnezdilov, Director General, ISG; Sergey Nefyodov, Commercial Director, Stack Data Network; Yuriy Samoilov, Director General, Dataline and Evgeniy Schepilov, Director of the Services Centre of I-Teco.

The forum will also hear from both Russian and international experts, and draws industry attention globally to the evolution in the sector that is currently taking place in Moscow, St Petersburg and other key cities in the country. It will also highlight new research by BroadGroup which provides the first assessment of market size, carrier neutral, carrier owned and large enterprise datacenters, growth drivers present in the market, and the growing importance of modular and cloud.

“We have been delighted by the participation of so many leading datacentre players in Russia in this first forum,” commented Warwick Dunkley, vice president of BroadGroup, “and with the range of topics to be discussed ranging across energy, modular, finance, cloud and fibre the forum will present tremendous insight into a significant growth market as well as great business value to the attendees.”
