San Jose is a symbol of Silicon Valley innovation, and since IBM set up there in the 1940s it has attracted technology giants including eBay, Adobe and Cisco Systems to its sunny streets. The Tech Museum details this, and big brand logos proudly adorn buildings like the HP Pavilion (also called the Shark Tank), home of the NHL team.
The J Lohr Winery is a good spot to forget about work, and California’s Great America theme park rollercoasters provide more high-octane thrills, while younger visitors prefer Happy Hollow Park and Zoo.
There is a weekly farmer’s market in San Pedro Square and a flea market in Berryessa. Great Mall and Westfield Valley Fair are 2 large shopping centres, while Santana Row has unique shops interspersed with restaurants.
The Downtown area is roughly midway between San Francisco Bay and the Santa Cruz Mountains and houses the Civic Center, Convention Center and nearby Institute of Contemporary Art. Other museums are the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum and Winchester Mystery House whose owner kept rebuilding it in an attempt to keep out ghosts, though apparently she may not have succeeded…
With the airport right in the city centre, it’s easy to find the way to San Jose’s luxury hotels and cheap motels on Booking.com, some offering park and fly options.

The area around the hotel was perfect.
The area around the hotel was perfect. It was close to the office I needed to be at every day, close to some very great restaurants, and close to Fed Ex which I need to do some traveling office work. Frankly, this hotel in the area it is in is awesome. I strongly recommend the Flemingo Hotel to all that need to stay in the area of San Jose.

I went to SJSU and I always like returning to San Jose and hitting up my old hangouts. If you know the area and have a car, San Jose has everything one needs for entertainment. Hit up La Vic!! If you know, you know

Food and services were expensive.
Food and services were expensive. I had paid $6 for a brownie from a nearby milk bar next to my hotel and I was prompted to tip for take away. Open air car park next to Westin San Jose was $25 to $30 per night.

San Jose is an expensive place for traveller if you don't have a job. It is not the right city for budget traveller, but it could be paradise for rich people. Stop having daydream, and finding a job is the best way to stay in San Jose.

It was a short stay in San Jose, like I said traffic is very busy. Alot of great restaurants near this hotel. They did have a bar with service for food, but nothing that I wanted. I wanted comfort food, something hot, besides a burger or tacos. Hotel Decor was really nice, if you enter after hours to get inside using other doors beside the front entry, guest must use their room key, great security for keeping unwanted people out. I did see Security walking the parking lot at night and security near the front entrance.

The room was nice but wasn't happy about being charged an extra $100.00 and not told up front that there will be an extra $100.00 because I requested a room downstairs because my brother is an handicap and cannot even go in an elevator due to his vertigo issue.
Even though the inn was less than a mile to Mineta San Jose Airport, excessive noise was not an issue. Room climate control quite simple to use. Nice television with optional remote control through smartphone by scanning QR code on home screen of TV. Accoutrements included coffee machine, small refrigerator and microwave oven. Ample parking though I don't believe inn was at full occupancy. Restaurants (mostly fast food), service station w/convenience store in close walking distance.
I liked the style and it had excellent lighting. The real bonus was the jacuzzi tub because it had 4 jets so it was quite powerful along with various settings. It made my dislikes not so bad. Since I was staying at this hotel on business, I didn't have a chance to walk around. If you are traveling for fun; especially with someone, this is the hotel. The location is perfect because it is in walking distance to downtown San Jose along with all types of restaurants.
I felt like staying at the Hyatt was very good value. It was a nice hotel and I felt very safe. The specific room that I got had a bed, living room, and kitchen and it was such a nice layout and visibly appealing. Everything was very clean. No loud noises at night although in the early morning you could hear the light rail and some planes since it’s near the airport.
We wanted the first flight to Hawaii the next morning. Hotel was close to San Jose airport. When we arrived at the Pavilion we discovered we had booked our stay for the next day, the hotel was so nice and accommodating they instantly changed the day without and extra charge. Whew!
Everyone was so nice the hotel was clean the rooms were exceptionally clean.
Incredibly well-located, quality and stylish hotel in the heart of Downtown San Jose. I found myself needing a hotel late one weekday evening and Hotel De Anza went above and beyond my expectations. The view from my room was awesome--it gave me a whole new perspective on the town. I would absolutely stay here next time I come to town.
This property was a pleasant surprise. I had an early flight out of san jose and wanted to stay close to the airport the night before. The hotel was clean and inviting, the bed was comfortable, the shower/water pressure was amazing. I was beyond satisfied and would definitely stay there on a return visit.
It's an older hotel, but in very good condition and very clean. The staff were also very friendly and the free onsite parking a great bonus. The location is perfect if you're in town to attend a game or event at the SAP center as it's only a short stroll away. A nice cafe also directly across the street.
The updated main tower room was sleek and modern. The bathroom was clean and big The room itself was also on the larger side compared to other hotels. Valet was top notch and they deserve a raise. The valet were extremely helpful and it was a very nice start and end of our stay.
The room was very clean and modern. The staff (hotel staff as well as shuttle driver) was excellent and very forthcoming.
Airport shuttle worked like a charm, despite our short notice request. Public transport (light rail) is in walking distance.
The hotel is great. The staff was polite and helpful and the room clean and comfortable. The location is perfect if you want to travel to SF and back. The hotel is located close to the airport but don't be discouraged- there is no noise.
The staff is especially friendly and helpful. It's not a fancy hotel but adequate and comfortable. For the solo traveller who doesn't mind walking short distances to either midtown or downtown, it's a great value and perfectly located.
I loved everything about it close walking distance to Downtown and SAP Center, amazing caring staff, hotel was very clean staff was friendly and went above and beyond for your needs and helped you out in anyway they could.
The location is great. Near airport, freeway and in safe neighborhood within walking distance to downtown Willow Glen. Clean, modern and spacious home. Easy to communicate with property manager.
The location is great. It’s in the heart of downtown San Jose. The hotel itself is beautiful and felt very clean. There also wasn’t a pet fee which was nice.
