No need to go further afield as there is plenty to see and do in Valletta. Favourite wine bar was Why Not? - lovely Maltese Platter. Lots of hills and steps but easy to find your way around. Did the Food Tour with City Walking Tours Malta - highly recommended.

I liked Valletta: It has a lot of interesting historical points, its own style of architecture and was full of character. The place is relatively small and therefore accessible to a fit person. There are streets which are made up of steps. The city has many excellent bars and restaurants as well as small grocery shops. It also has a couple of theatres. The city is clean and safe. There is a very good public bus service connecting the city with the rest of the island.

What a magical city!
What a magical city! So much history and worth exploring around the Island to see the different influences. We left wanting more and are already planning our next trip. The local wine was a lovely suprise - we absolutely could not get enough of it! And the quality of food that we tried was exceptional. I don't know why I sound so surprised but I really genuinely came away from our weekend away thinking it was one of the best mini-vacations we have had. Not to mention how darned friendly the locals are.

Valletta is definitely worth a trip especially if you are interested in history and architecture. However there are also other parts of Malta that are worth going to as well as Valetta. Interesting, attractive and historical place to visit with plenty to see and do for a few days. Lots of places to eat and drink. Quite hilly so not good for people with mobility issues. Maltese people generally friendly and cheerful. Excellent bus service to visit other parts of the island. For those who don't do foreign languages, the Maltese speak English. Quire noisy so if you dont like noise at night consider carefully where your hotel is situated.

And it was always right on time! The location is great - right in the heart of Valletta so everything is easily accessible.

It's really spacious, with a kitchen (where you can make some coffee/meals). The balcony we thought it had is a "closed balcony" typical of the maltese architecture, so no smoking on the balcony, but there is a terrace on the top floor with a couple of tables and a great view. We were able to store our luggage until our flight in the afternoon, the host was very polite and helpful, the communication with the host was really good as well.

Also, just around the corner and down 162 steps and a short walk to the nearby ferry. If Ronnie is there when you check in, it will be a great start to your stay. Truly an excellent representative of the hotel at the front desk.

The breakfast is good and there is also a small swimming pool on the rooftop (however we didn’t use it because it was not very clean).
