Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season...
Kokura Castle in the evening during Cherry Blossom season was magical. Kokura Zoo is great. Slot car racing at Hunaudieres in Aruaru City was fabulous! Kitakyūshū Peace Museum is not to be missed, everyone should be required to experience this incredible place. Same goes for the Kitakyūshū Museum of Natural History! Lunch at the Kitakyushu City Central Library Cafe was perfect for the price.

We visit Kitakyushu every year because we have family members living there. I love Kitakyushu because of how peaceful and less crowded it is and I know the place more than the other cities in Japan. Kitakyushu also has a lot of local tourist spots that can be reached if you rent a car or by bus/train.

I had friends there, that showed us around a great deal.
I had friends there, that showed us around a great deal. There's a nearby steam train run that was fantastic. The caves at the Karst Plateau were a great adventure. Also a high-school sumo tournament was fun. Trains and subways were easy. Kokura castle is definitely worth a visit! Lots of displays.

We stayed in Kokura which has a Shinkansen station, so it is a very good base to visit the whole of southern Japan. We came here for the Rugby World Cup. There was one restaurant in particular, called Nabun Thai Restaurant just next to one of our hotels, which had really excellent food.

There is a lot to see in this city.
There is a lot to see in this city. The food culture is diverse, the art and music scene as well. It’s very close to travel from one place to another from Kitakyushu. There’s Mojiko that is really close. Fukuoka is about an hour bus ride. It’s a perfect place to stay if you wanna do one day trips to other places. I personally found the city easily walkable from everywhere.

Very bad hotel, dirty, room with serious smoke smell, very small, NO wifi provided which is different from hotel description, staff service very bad. I booked 2 rooms but they provided us the rooms in different floors even we request to have the same floor. Staff were very inconsiderate, old style hotel, dirty, serious smoking smell. If this hotel is in China, may only costs HK$100, but now we booked at HK$700 per room, DIRTY ROOM! Never go again, other guests please take care!!!
Convenient location directly across train station but not noisy. Typical Japanese breakfast buffet was good to have before getting on Shinkansen. Double bed was comfortable and suitable to sleep 2 people but floor space is tight (typical) if you have large bags it would be hard to manage them. Small mini fridge and kettle in room was nice to have. Microwave available in lobby. Perfect for an overnight to catch train. Plenty of toiletries if you forgot something; also robe and slippers.
Very friendly staff and their effort to use online instant translator to communicate with foreign guests is appreciated. Quick response to my question upon booking. The Japanese style guestroom I stayed in was big, clean, comfortable and enjoyed a panoramic seaview. Breakfast was great. The hotel enjoys a tranquil environment, but restaurants or shops are not within short walking distance, i.e. visiting there with a car will be better.
Front Office Staff's English speaking was better than other hotels. Very friendly and recommended a Steak Restaurant nearby. Reserved a car park bay for us after we paid as supposed to be for 24hours and not per entry as not guaranteed when car park full at night. Drinks machine and coin laundry washer and dryer are available.
The price was very economical for one night stay, especially given the prime location, spacious room and amenities from the beautiful refurbished lobby.
I like it that there is parking attached to the hotel which was not mentioned in the description. The elevator just goes to B2 where the parking is.
good location, Convenient, safety, reliable, there are good place for charge. There are a microwave in the room.
good price.easy to make reservation.everywhere we can find this chain hotel.
They have coin laundry.
Staff was very kind and charming.
Hotel in a great location close to Kokura castle and a further 10 minutes to the Riverwalk where a lot of shops and arcades are and also Kokura Station. Staff exceptionally helpful and always very courteous.
Great Location, next to the JR station and the local market. The staff is polite and very friendly. I thought I left my phone at the hotel. I wrote to them and they got back to me within the day.
Nice customer service. Comfy bed and amenities satisfied my expectations mostly as I didn't stay in the hotel too much. However, I cannot imagine myself staying here more than a day.
The location was very convenient: come out of the station and the hotel is visible 200 meters away.
The staff were all cheerful and helpful.
The hotel is new as of July 2023.
I liked the location, we did the pedestrian tunnel and it was very exotic. There is also the ferry to the aquarium. The hotel itself is nice. Italian restaurant was very good.
The hotel is about 5 minutes walk from the station. The staff were friendly and food/drinks were available all day.
The room was nice and clean and a decent size.
