The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.
Philly is famed for its public art with more sculptures and murals than any other city in the USA. Seeing the best graffiti and statues won’t break the bank balance, since you can find many free tours and admire them absolutely free of charge!
It’s also home to many national historical sites with the Independence National Historical Park as a starting point and center for all the major landmarks, including Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell is located, the symbol of the American Revolution.
Visit the world’s largest urban landscaped park, Fairmount Park, with over 17 square miles of green area. There are plenty of paths and hiking trails and after that, enjoy a local cheesesteak sandwich, soft pretzel or some Tastykake snacks.
Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you’re just a 20-minute ride from downtown. Booking.com has a variety of hotels in downtown Philly, near the airport or for the sports enthusiasts, near the Wells Fargo Center.
Love Philadelphia ❤️. We've been coming every year for 10 years from Seattle to see our daughter who moved here. There is always something new to do. The American history available to explore is fabulous. And an hour away is Amish country which is great fun and a completely different experience.

Philly was friendly, educational, entertaining and the vegan food was tasty and plentiful. I can't say enough great things about the trip. We walked in the footsteps of Edgar Allan Poe and David Lynch, saw the legendary Dead Milkmen deliver a hometown concert at Underground Arts that was mindblowing, learned about the troubled history of incarceration in America at the world's first true penitentiary, and were fascinated by the Mütter Museum with its displays of historic medical science. Food highlights were found at Monster Vegan, Vegan-ish, 3J's Cafe, Cafe Square One, top Tomato Bar, HipCityVeg. There were so many more place we wanted to visit or dine at but time was limited. We must return to Philadelphia again to continue our explorations.

Philly is such a great city, the sights, the food, and the hospitality is beyond compare. They have great sports teams and complexes, they have a wonderful symphony, and the city is like a history museum, so much to see, and do.
We ate at The Dan Dan, and it was unbelievably delicious. I would eat there everyday if I lived closer. It was within walking distance of our hotel, and we felt safe walking to and from. There are so many great restaurants to try, and the Reading Terminal Market is a family favorite to visit.
I can't think of one thing that I would change about our visit.
The location was extremely convenient, and absolutely perfect walking distance to the Shopping District, Chinatown, Reading Terminal Market, bus station, etc. The hotel and room itself were squeaky clean and felt very safe and comfortable, the staff professional and friendly. Even better was the parking garage directly beside the hotel, taking away the immense stress of trying to find parking in Center City. The area itself was busy, sure, but I could not have asked for a better experience with how convenient everything was made.
The one bedroom suite we stayed in at this hotel was excellent. The bedroom was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The living room/kitchen was attractive and well equipped, as was the bathroom. The building has been tastefully refurbished and was quiet. We were able to make food or eat out as necessary. The reception staff were all very helpful. The hotel is right beside the Fairmount subway station, so is easily accessible by public transport. If you were energetic, you could walk to the downtown area.
Hotel is located in a very central location and we could visit several areas of Philadelphia on foot. The staff are friendly and helpful. The rooms are a good size (we are a family of four). The breakfast buffet was very busy but the selection was quite good - the pancake machines are always a hit! On those hot days we really appreciated the bottles of water that were offered at the reception. The pool and gym were good and well maintained.
we had a rental car and the b&b was conveniently located 25 minutes from downtown Philly. Donna the host gave us lots of tips to get around and to visit in Philadelphia. the breakfast came with a large selection of fruits and cereals and danish and yoghurts and coffees and … we also met other guests at the breakfast table , which gives a very homey feeling and made for interesting conversation.
Location, the fact that it was SO close to everything was a huge plus. The security, being as though the hotel is in center city, there are alot of homeless people and 1 worry I had was possibly people lingering around the front entrance. That didn't happen and it seems as though the hotel takes proper precautions so it DOESN'T happen.
The hotel is very nice, small and located in the city centre of Philadelphia in the gay neighbourhood, which has many advantages and some disadvantages (see below). The advantages are that the neighbourhood is safe, even at night, with many bars and restaurants close by. The price was reasonable for USA standards.
i stay at this hotel every time I visit Philadelphia. the rooms are clean, the showers have very hot water and good water pressure (this is important! lol) and there is a Starbucks in the lobby. oh! and the airport shuttle drivers are very friendly and helpful! Love it there.
-I like how close it is to the sports venues.
-I was on the 15th floor and so I really enjoyed to view of Philadelphia.
-I liked the shuttle service from the airport to the hotel.
-I especially liked the sweet smell as you walked into the hotel/got out of the elevator.
The Hotel is very close to the airport which was very convenient for my connecting flight in the early morning. The yard looked really beautiful. The room was clean and quiet. The staff was really helpful. I’m thinking of a longer stay here next time I’m in Philly
The location in the very centre of Philadelphia, walking distance to all attractions, parking possible for extra fee, short message from the hotel asking about special needs, water and coffee provided at all times for free.
Close to the airport line, a clean place, with friendly and supportive staff, and at a walkable distance from the city attractions such as the Philadelphia Art Museum. Highly recommended.
The room was clean and comfortable, and very spacious, and there was a bath which was great. The hotel provided a shuttle to the airport in the morning which was extremely helpful.
One of my favorite hotels in Center City Philadelphia! The rooms are nice. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the location is right in the middle of everything.
The hotel location is great! It's at the heart of downtown so you can walk around most of the places. All public transportation is also located at close proximity.
The location of the hotel is good, in the center city, close to everything., The bed was very comfy, the shower was excellent and the staff was very pleasant.
