Improvements - in the restaurant area, coffee and tea making...
Improvements - in the restaurant area, coffee and tea making facilities to be a bit more secure and spacious. To cater more for western tastes as opposed to locals - ie more cereals and yogurts. At time a bit too tight for numbers.
Pay more attention to health and safety around the tea/coffee area. Milk gets very hot, better signs to indicate this.
When floors are being mopped, to use wet floor sign so people are aware.

Colombo is now getting better after a recession few years back. They are on a speedy recovery. There are lots of places you can visit for sightseeing. If you are going on a business trip, Colombo is an ideal space for staying as they have all the good locations (especially importers and huge markets). Better book private hire through a car company, it's way cheaper if you want to explore the city. Walking is also a good option.

Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure.
Beautiful city with clean and green infrastructure. Recommended for Indians to visit. Shopping was good (Visited - One face mall, City Center mall, Havalock city mall). Galle face location was great to spend some time with family. Independent square, Gangarama Buddhist temple, Lotus tower tourist spots were nice. 2 days is enough to cover Colombo city.

Havelock Garden BNB is very modern with a very pleasing aesthetic feel. It was spacious and had all the amenities you could possibly need. Great location with some great finds on your door step. Bus service, tuk tuks, shopping Mall, with a free ATM outside (inside charges) Sim card shop 50 metres away apx - end of the road. Sky Bar with infinity pool called Me Bar. Great to watch the city light up and it is happy hour 5-7pm - walking distance . To mention but a few. The housekeeper goes above and beyond to ensure you have a comfortable stay and her Sri Lanken Breakfast is delicious and will set you up for the day. We could also have an english breakfast if desired. We would most definitely stay again.

The city is busy with chaotic traffic.
The city is busy with chaotic traffic. On the night of the 25th city roads from Colombo 3 to Fort were closed and we did not know. When we got a taxi (Uber and Taxis were not able to reach us) they charged 6 times more than the usual fare. The tuk-tuks often charge foreigners very high fees. Make sure you get into one with a functional meter. There are good places to eat. Don't eat street food because their hygiene habits are questionable. Colombo is reported as a dengue-prone area. So use mosquito repellent. During December, there weren't many. Ask the hotel you stay for taxis or use their local Pickme app. Yet it is often wise to check the agreed fee. Otherwise they charge much higher.
Our stay at the suite at Trillium Boutique City Hotel was simply amazing! The beds were incredibly comfortable, and we enjoyed a restful sleep. The warm hospitality of the staff made us feel right at home. The rooftop pool offered stunning views of Colombo's skyline, especially at sunset.
The suite was clean, and the peaceful neighborhood was a welcome escape. The convenience of being close to the CBD and suburbs was great for us.
And the complimentary wine and chocolates were a delightful treat! Highly recommended!
This was a tranquil place to arrive in Colombo. We were quickly out of the airport and into a peacful coutrtyard with bird song. We ate delicious home-cooked Sri Lankan breakfasts and were recommended some fantastic dinner options for the evening by our hosts, who were lovely people. They helped us with taxis, train times and more recommendations. We got to experience the bustle of Colombo but had this calm home to return to. This really feels like a special home and our room was a part of that experience.
Srilax are probably the best tiny boutique hotel with a beautiful cafe/garden, the friendliest staff, the most comfortable feel and really has been our home away from home while in Sri Lanka. Staff, omg wonderful. Food, coffee, divine. Rokms no matter which one u choose, all fabulous. Linen, towels, to the filtered water and incense. Soap provided, easy access in and out, and decor to fit the garden/boutique/homely feel and vibe to the whole place. We just LOVE staying here thanks guys once again
The hotel is well positioned to do sightseeing. It is in the heart of the old town of Colombo. Best of all, it is adjacent to the old Hospital Shopping precinct where there are many restaurants to choose from. The hotel itself has a dutch pub and Java coffee house attached to it.
We stayed here for a couple of nights before flying back to Sydney. It was reasonably priced. But in reality, it's a hotel that caters mainly for coach tours and the like.
Modern hotel, good size room, comfy bed. Ac, hot water, as expected. Hotel has a generator - which is huge, as hot as it is in Colombo and in light of the ongoing power cuts. There is an electronic kettle and a fridge as well.
The hotel is located within a walking distance of Colombo Fort, but you can also get a tuktuk.
The personnel is very kind and helpful.
A pleasant welcome from Upul and in the morning I received a delicious breakfast. The lobby features stylish and classic furniture. The hotel is within walking distance of a nice mall and it is quite easy to take the bus or tuktuk to the center. The owners are very friendly and gave me great tips for Colombo and the rest of Sri Lanka
One of my favourite hotels during my recent travels to Sri Lanka, Cinnamon Red is right in the middle of the city making it possible to explore Colombo’s attractions by foot. To top it, it stands tall on its own, offering 360 degree unobstructed stunning views of the city—the views at night are especially gorgeous!
This place is an oasis in Colombo. We just had one overnight after our arrival at Colombo airport. It’s about 45min from the airport (wo. traffic jam). The interieur and garden area of the boutique hotel is really nice. The staff was very friendly and supportive. The Sri Lankan breakfast is a recommendation.
Everything was wonderful. Felt like staying in a luxury hotel but also with friends at the same time. Gorgeous bed and linens and a delicious breakfast. Location is also great and I felt overall it was one of the best value for what I got stays in Sri Lanka.
Thank you Glenn and Fiona!
With a beautiful sea view and magnificent architecture this hotel is a must stay place in Colombo. The rooms were really cozy and elegant with full windows on the view side. The Japanese restaurant on top is awesome and had the best sushi's in Lanka maybe.
The best hotel we stayed in Colombo. It was very new and very clean, bed were very comfy. Good location near to supermarkets, buses and trains. Benjamin was a wonderful host and looked after us very well. Thank you for a great stay Benjamin!
Best hotel I've stayed in out of several in Sri Lanka. Staff very friendly and helpful, room quiet and comfortable, nice powerful rain shower with plenty of hot water. Location good if, like me, you want to be close to Fort ststion.
The hotel is brand new- everything is clean. Location is very good. The rooms have big glass windows and the reception area at 10th floor is all with glass where you can have an aerial view of Colombo and the beautiful Indian Ocean.
The MaRadha was absolutely incredible. The breakfast was the best we had on the entire trip through Sri Lanka. If staying in Colombo, don’t look for any other place. We thought it was exceptional and loved the rooftop bar.
Pool is fantastic, big and clean. Rooms are also good. Very comfortable hotel, friendly staff. Beautiful large yard with sea access. I was in Sri Lanka for 20 days, changed 8 hotels, this one is absolutely the best.
Choosing this hotel was an amazing end to a trip around Sri Lanka. Nicely spacious room, access to an outdoor swimming pool and terrace with a view of Colombo at night was a cherry on the cake. Highly recommend!
the best hotel at colombo, i strongly suggests to choose if you’re looking for properly cleaned room, best services, lowest price and perfect breakfast.
