Stockholm is a beautiful city.
Stockholm is a beautiful city. Staying just outside The Old Town was perfect - SoFo - is a lovely bohemian area with very few tourists. Walking is easy but also the public transport system (including ferries) is superb.
Just walking the streets of The Old Town is a delight, But also recommend some island hopping. Skansen, The Museum of Modern Art and Stampen jazz club were particular favourites.
And a lovely bistro hidden amongst the web of cobbled streets in the Old Town is Under Kastanjen.

Absolutely lovely and beautiful city!
Absolutely lovely and beautiful city! Stayed a bit further away from the centre, but getting around Stockholm is incredibly easy! You can use the SL app to buy tickets or just pay as you go (there are cards machine at the entry of all metro stations as well as the trams and buses). The city centre is gorgeous, however it can be a bit crowded since there are my avenues and shops around. Eating wise, please try all the kardemommeboller you possibly can because they are delicious (my recommendations are Stora Bageriet and Lillebrors). Don't hesitate to take a boat tour to see the city from the water, you won't regret it! 🤎 Great city for shopping but also with beautiful nature areas such as parks, gardens and the archipelago!

Beautiful city but don't underestimate its size or how far it is to walk between places of interest. We discovered their superb transport system and used that after our first day walking everywhere to get to places we had booked.
In three and a half days we visited: Vasa Museum (amazing), Abba (don't be embarrassed to sing - we weren't), Avicii experience (more singing), Sprit museum (Swedish tasting tray was definitely something we wont forget!) Ice Bar, Gamla Stan and the Under the Bridges boat tour. There was so much more we could have seen including visiting the Royal Palace and Skansen (next time perhaps). People are friendly and helpful but don't take too much cash (like we did) as most places in Stockholm were cashless and only accepted card payments.
Food was an issue, we should have researched more as reasonably priced eateries that were open in April were hard to find.

Stockholm is an incredibly friendly and welcoming place.
Stockholm is an incredibly friendly and welcoming place. It is also very well set up and easy to get around. The express train from the airport is incredibly simple and pleasant to use. Public transport is also simple - just get your credit card scanned after you board.
Stockholm is great if you like museums - they are everywhere.
I particularly recommend Skansa (part folk museum, part zoo) and just losing yourself in Gamla Stan. Aifur is an excellent and fun tourist experience for dinner - Viking mead hall with traditional Scandinavian food and drink.
Excellent hotel for a short stay. I expected very small room, but was quite surprised with the size, it was bigger than I expected. Enough space for two people with big luggage. It is perfect for one of two night stay. Location is also great, a walking distance to everything you need in Stockholm. The best was the breakfast, so many delicious options, perfect. Check-in was fast and smooth, and hotel has a luggage room which is great if you had to stay in town after the check out. Great hotel and great price.
A very elegant place and so convenient for taking one of the many sightseeing boats and seeing the Gamla Stan or Old City. I mostly walked everywhere except when going with a friend by bus or tram to see museums on Lidingo (Island) and in Djurgarden. I also took the bus to the Strindberg Museum. Staff very helpful. The hotel is only one mile from Stockholm's Central Station. I even walked to the station to catch the Arlanda Express train which got me to Arlanda Airport in only twenty minutes.
This could easily be the best hotel in Stockholm! The concept is very unique, the spaces are very well designed with creative ideas and themes. The rooms are super comfy, very well equipped and all the details are beautiful reflecting authenticity in an elegant design. The breakfast is very tasty and the staff is polite. The architecture and interior spaces, courtyard and overall style of the hotel are fantastic. The atmosphere and experience were great. I would definitely come back !
Clean and spacious room. Dinner was included - it was a great deal. Both breakfast and dinner came with a wide variety of food to choose. Dining/open common area on the ground floor was so spacious and comfortable. It was not so far from the hotel to the city center - about 10-15 mins to Slussen from the hotel by bus and then just one stop to Gamla Stan by metro. This was my second stay within 10 months. One of staff (probably a manager) still remembered me.
Perfectly situated in Old Town. A block from the Royal Palace. Walking distance to shopping, museums, and the Ice Bar. Lots of old building full of little shops and great restaurants.
The room is large. The bathroom is clean and efficient. We had a sea-view room, which was really nice. The room is elegantly appointed with high ceilings and velvet draps.
Possibly the best breakfast I have had a hotel.
A lovely hotel which isn't too big and welcomes guests warmly. Overall we were happy, however when our coffee machine in the room was broken, it took a while to replace, only to not be replaced at all. The restaurant and breakfast are great, except no one told us there was an entire buffet, we were just told order one thing from the menu each on our first day. A nice hotel but not 5 star.
Good value hotel near to the main attractions in Stockholm. We stayed for two days as tourists, it was perfect for this. Several shops, pubs and attractions are in walking distance, also metro lines. The breakfast was extremely tasty and diverse, one of the best breakfasts we ever had in hotels (gluten/lactose etc. free corner with several options also). Definitely recommended.
the location of the hotel is very good. it's very close to the central subway station which allows you to go wherever you want in stockholm. also, it's quite close to the city center by walking.
the bedroom and the bathroom are quite clean.
the staff were sincere and very helpful.
the breakfast was really good. you can start your day with good quality food.
The hotel combines a luxury feel with a relaxed ambience. The breakfast buffet had many delicious options. Dinner at the Arc rooftop restaurant was amazing. Commuting from the hotel to city center by metro or bus was very easy and convenient. Each staff member that I had contact with were all very welcoming, friendly, and helpful.
I found the breakfast really good and the bar had more of a vibe than I expected. The personnel also did their best.
I also like their is a tram stop (line 7) almost in front of the hotel, a convenient way to get into town or to the central station. And I had a good deal for a Stockholm hotel, so good value for money.
We have stayed at this hotel a few times due to its connection and close proximity to town centre, it’s also one of the best hotels in Stockholm with a good size of room and shower. Whether you are a business traveller or couple for a weekend, this hotel will cater to your needs.
Breakfast was great, lots of options there. This is great. Especially salmon that they served for breakfast. The best one of my life. Location was great, right behind Stockholm Train Station, you can get Gamla Stan on foot.
Wonderful hotel in a great location near the train station. It was clean, well designed and the breakfast buffet was the absolute best in my nine weeks of European travel this year. Highly recommend!
I honestly cannot PinPoint one thing. It was hands down the best hotel I've stayed in. The staff were so polite. They room was perfect. I will always come back to this hotel anytime I'm in stockholm.
The best aspect of this hotel is its location. It is situated in a very upmarket open green area of Stockholm, cheek by jowl with the Djurgarden Island, with all it parklands and multiple museums.
The location was perfect for all of our Stockholm adventures. The breakfast was the best we’ve had any any hotel, ever! AMAZING variety of foods and so delicious!
I loved the location of the hotel it is strategically located near the shopping district with the best view of Stockholm. I really liked the cosiness of the rooms.
