The UK's 2nd largest city, Birmingham is one of its top cultural centers. Well-known for its M6 Spaghetti Junction interchange, it's also a surprisingly green city with lots of open spaces.
Most city center hotels in Birmingham are near New Street Station. To the east is the futuristic architecture of the new Bull Ring shopping center, and behind that is Digbeth Bus Station. To the west is Victoria Square, home of the town hall and a German Christmas Market.
The Mailbox is one of the newest additions to the Birmingham shopping scene, and behind it is one of the canals converging on the Gas Street Basin. By one canal are the ICC (International Convention Center) and the NIA (National Indoor Arena), both venues that host major events.
Just across the street is Brindleyplace, a canal-front complex of restaurants, bars and hotels near Broad Street – the main nightlife area. It is popular with students at nearby Birmingham University, whose clock tower is modeled on the one in Siena. Just south in Bournville is Cadbury World, and there are several hotels on Hagley Road to the north, which are available on Booking.com.
The city is also known for sports – Aston Villa and Birmingham City are the top soccer clubs, while Edgbaston Cricket Ground hosts international matches. Other Birmingham attractions include Hockley’s Jewellery Quarter and the NEC arena by Birmingham International Airport.

Fantastic compact City, with everything you would need for a short stay. It was so easy to navigate and the bars, restaurants and hotel we experienced were top notch.
The canal area with it's lively restaurants is a real buzz, if you like that!
We came from Ireland and it really was a hop and a skip to get right to the centre of the City from our own doorstep.
I would highly recommend Birmingham for a visit if you like shopping, restaurants and very friendly people. We will be back!

Extremely impressed by Birmingham and ideal for a short break. The canal, Westside area has been completely redeveloped. There are many restaurants, theatres, a concert hall and arena all around the canal area. It’s all beautifully clean, modern with lots to see and do. It’s only a short walk to the Bull Ring offering a great selection of shops and places to eat. Central Birmingham has been reinvented over the last decade! Well worth a visit.

Was at a show in the NEC so didn't see much of Birmingham.
Was at a show in the NEC so didn't see much of Birmingham. Ate in the Pushkar Cocktail bar and some drinks in Qavali whisky bar and they were first class. Walked from hotel to train station (10mins) and the part of the city we walked through had some amazing buildings/featuers and would go back to explore.

Went for a long weekend.
Went for a long weekend. I’ve travelled to the uk many times. My first time in Birmingham and it was by far my favourite trip over. There is so much to do there that we didn’t even get to do it all in one weekend, we were so busy the whole time we were there doing activities and the bars and restaurants are another level compared to any of the other cities I’ve been to in the uk.

I've never spent time in Birmingham before, and found everyone friendly and helpful. Id travelled from my home in Ireland to see bands on Friday night and Saturday night. I stayed in Kings Heath, a fabulous place for music lovers, with three great venues very close to each other... "Fletcher's", "The Hare & Hounds"" and "The Station" - I was at them all. As a vegetarian, I had no problem getting food, and breakfast in "Gregg's" was excellent and very reasonable. (No Gregg's in Ireland, more's the pity!). I had an excellent takeaway spicy vegetarian pizza which I ate in my apartment in York Road - next door to the pizza place and opposite the venue we'd been to. I'd bought drinks in all venues I attended - "The Hare and Hounds", "Fletcher's" and "The Station" - and I was surprised that their prices were so reasonable. The management of "The Station"were only too happy to let people bring food into the pub (they don't do food) and directed me to a nearby shop/off licence a few doors away, where I bought delicious samosas and vegetarian pasties.
I found King's Heath to be easily accessible by bus from Birmingham airport..... I'll be back!
Room was clean, spacious and comfortable. Breakfast was varied and delicious. Service was superb (there was a fire alarm and they were 100% on their game, making sure everyone was accounted for and safe). Helpful, and friendly at all times. It is obvious they are used to dealing with lots of people. True professionals. We did notice there were tons of different kinds of people at the hotel (professionals, young people, etc.) You can request a 'silent' room, which is a plus. Finally, the hotel is just a 2 minute walk from New Station.
Bed was very comfortable. Given the position of the hotel near large roads it was incredibly sound proof. Unlike other hotels I have stayed in, the heating was just right. The food in the restaurant the night I arrived was very good value for money. I had dahl which came with onion baji, basmati rice, naan and was cheaper to what I would pay at the pub and very good comfort food. Good value for money and I could walk to Villa Park. I only came to Birmingham to see a Villa game having been travelling through the UK.
The location was very near to the city centre, which made it very easy to have frequent trips to the shopping centres. I liked the openness of the reception area, unlike other hotels that are very small. I also liked the fact the it had access to a gym. I think that the overall design of the hotel is very modern, with tall windows from the ground to the ceiling with beautiful views of the city centre. With the upcoming HS2 train station, I think this will be one of the best, if not the best located hotels in Birmingham.
The hotel is very accessible and is at the centre of Birmingham city so it was very convenient when visiting the city centre. There is also a secured, underground parking which we really liked as it felt safe.
The hotel is affordable and came with free breakfast and free parking (until August 2021) for us.
The staff were lovely and very accommodating. It is also dog friendly. Would visit again.
It is a nice place to stay in if you’re on a budget.
Stayed here as a party of 6 for one night. Hotel about 10 minute walk from Bullring Shopping Centre. Very clean, modern rooms, beds comfy but pillows a bit lumpy! Was quiet at night which is always a problem in a city centre hotel. Staff member checked you back in at night so only residents could get into building.
Breakfast was good for the price we paid. We would stay here again if back In Birmingham.
Superb location for exploring Birmingham and great views from the hotel bedroom and the terrace bar.
Really comfortable bed and great shower. Complimentary water and in room fridge was great to chill drinks. Room had all the little extras you'd want.
Staff provided us with a fan upon request to deal with the heat in the room and also provided compensation for the excessive heat
The breakfast was very good. The location was excellent, 10mins drive to sea life and Lego discovery, 9minutes drive to the city centre and 10minutes drive to Birmingham wildlife conservation park. 16 minutes drive to Cadbury world.
The hotel doesn’t have a car park but there was a car park right behind it which was £6 per day. The room and the hotel was very clean
Apartment was clean and well appointed, three seperate bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and small lounge with a tv. Close to Birmingham city centre in a decent neighbourhood. We only stayed the one night for a gig but the cost saving for 3 people against local hotels was significant.
I really liked the hotel decor and the fact it was clean and staff is very polite. I took double room and the price was definitely very attractive. Location is great. Really close to the City centre. If I ever need to come back to Birmingham, I will consider booking here again.
The room is amazing, beds were very comfortable and the staff, especially the receptionist were SOO helpful. Id definitely a place to stay here again when Im back in Birmingham city centre. We had an work event at the hotel and it was definitely supported nicely by the hotel.
Close to train station I walked to the hotel, I enjoyed my time in the mailbox coffee shops and restaurants. Also walking distance to the bull rings shopping center. This part of the city center is the best. Let me not forget, walking by the canal in the morning.
Lovely comfortable hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Was perfect for course I attended in City centre. Perfect for metro link into city centre. Comfortable quiet room for goods nights sleep. Thank you, will book again if have another course in Birmingham
Good quality hotel at a reasonable cost.
Located in the university area within walking distance of University railway station.
Close to Birmingham city centre and with good transportation links.
Staff were friendly and upgraded my room on arrival. Very clean and new hotel. Excellent value for money and found parking nearby. Also walking distance from Birmingham City Centre.
great location in the jewellery quarter of Birmingham. Didn’t feel like a city centre hotel at all. lots of nice little touches too inc a hot water bottle !!
Staff were very helpful. Hotel was brilliant, very good prices for drinks and food. Atmosphere was great. Location for where I needed to be was spot on
