The birthplace of American independence, Philadelphia was founded in 1682 by William Penn. The name of the city translates to City of Brotherly Love and the city itself is a vibrant mix of history, art and culture.
Philly is famed for its public art with more sculptures and murals than any other city in the USA. Seeing the best graffiti and statues won’t break the bank balance, since you can find many free tours and admire them absolutely free of charge!
It’s also home to many national historical sites with the Independence National Historical Park as a starting point and center for all the major landmarks, including Independence Hall, where the Declaration of Independence was signed and the Liberty Bell is located, the symbol of the American Revolution.
Visit the world’s largest urban landscaped park, Fairmount Park, with over 17 square miles of green area. There are plenty of paths and hiking trails and after that, enjoy a local cheesesteak sandwich, soft pretzel or some Tastykake snacks.
Arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, you’re just a 20-minute ride from downtown. Booking.com has a variety of hotels in downtown Philly, near the airport or for the sports enthusiasts, near the Wells Fargo Center.
Love Philadelphia ❤️. We've been coming every year for 10 years from Seattle to see our daughter who moved here. There is always something new to do. The American history available to explore is fabulous. And an hour away is Amish country which is great fun and a completely different experience.

Philly was friendly, educational, entertaining and the vegan food was tasty and plentiful. I can't say enough great things about the trip. We walked in the footsteps of Edgar Allan Poe and David Lynch, saw the legendary Dead Milkmen deliver a hometown concert at Underground Arts that was mindblowing, learned about the troubled history of incarceration in America at the world's first true penitentiary, and were fascinated by the Mütter Museum with its displays of historic medical science. Food highlights were found at Monster Vegan, Vegan-ish, 3J's Cafe, Cafe Square One, top Tomato Bar, HipCityVeg. There were so many more place we wanted to visit or dine at but time was limited. We must return to Philadelphia again to continue our explorations.

Philly is such a great city, the sights, the food, and the hospitality is beyond compare. They have great sports teams and complexes, they have a wonderful symphony, and the city is like a history museum, so much to see, and do.
We ate at The Dan Dan, and it was unbelievably delicious. I would eat there everyday if I lived closer. It was within walking distance of our hotel, and we felt safe walking to and from. There are so many great restaurants to try, and the Reading Terminal Market is a family favorite to visit.
I can't think of one thing that I would change about our visit.
The hotel is well located in the heart of downtown Philadelphia and walking distance to Rittenhouse Square. Dining at Ruth Chris steakhouse couldn't be easier, as you can enter the restaurant through the lobby. There are also cheaper alternative restaurant options nearby. My sons (ages 10 and 13) enjoyed the outdoor pool, although it was crowded at times. The bellman, Paul, was very friendly and my kids enjoyed their interactions with him.
The location of this hotel was convenient, about 20 min ride from Center City & Amtrak Train Station. Also ventured taking the bus, that would be Bus #44 which takes you through City Hall and Train Station, convenient and schedule is accurate, you can download the Septa app to your phone and purchase bus tickets, which give you 2 hours before expiration and bus ride from hotel to center city takes about 20-25 mins depending on traffic.
Excellent Location, very close to the Center City, And a lot of Historical Places! Never in all my trips through the United States, Canada, the Caribbean, or Europe did I see a Supervisor or manager, even the 5 Start Hotels, do the job with such adherence to the rules, but also with a vocation for service, attention and perhaps I can say love Apples Hostels have that person and Her name is JULIA LANZARO, thank you so much.
Taylor Swift had seen that every hotel room in Philadelphia was taken but I was very happy with the room I had here. It was a bit hot at night but I had the window open wide, so nothing too bad. The shared bathroom was perfectly fine and the kitchen facilities were excellent. Street parking was ok too. I never met the host but had good communication by text. I did meet her sister, who was very friendly.
The location is great, there was plenty of space and it is walking distance to many historical sites and great restaurants. The kitchen was fully stocked and Target was a short walk away so we could make breakfast which was nice. For a family of 5 this was some of the best bang for your buck relative to some far more expensive downtown Philly hotels.
It was dirty!!! Hair in the tub. Blood on the shower curtain. The smoke smell was terrible. I felt like I smoked a pack of cigarettes by morning. It was. non-smoking room. 🤔It may have been the worst hotel I ever stayed in. I thought it was cheap because it was outdated and run down and only needed to stay for about 8 hours.
The hotel is very nice, small and located in the city centre of Philadelphia in the gay neighbourhood, which has many advantages and some disadvantages (see below). The advantages are that the neighbourhood is safe, even at night, with many bars and restaurants close by. The price was reasonable for USA standards.
My husband and myself can down for a night in center city to celebrate our 11 year anniversary. We both work and live in the city it just something so relaxing about this hotel we visited in August for his birthday we went to dinner and just relaxing we got to see how we can relax and enjoy ourselves in our city
I was there the weekend of 7/7 to 7/9 for a family reunion we hosted in your hotel. I had a suite and it was a really nice room. The staff were amazing! They were kind, friendly and most helpful. The hotel is in a great location for you to get out and walk and enjoy downtown Philly :)
The bed was super comfortable and the room was really clean. Great location right nearby everything downtown as well! I liked the side door entrance to get into the hotel portion without going through the bar since that area was quite busy in the evenings.
The hotel is located in a central area of Philadelphia, convenient to the city's main attractions. The staff is courteous and helpful, and the room is clean. If I were to pass through Philadelphia again, I would definitely stay here again!
The hotel was clean, the room was big, with a fully furnished kitchen. The terrace on the rooftop was nice and enjoyable. The location is extremely close to downtown (less than 10 minutes walking to Love Park).
Hotel is in a fine Center City location. Parking around the corner is adequate but it would be nice to have in-and-out privileges for $40 a day. Room has good bed, TV, adequate bath, desk, power hookups.
The location of the hotel is perfect for visiting center city, shopping and restaurants.
The bed, bedding and pillows were very comfortable. The room size is also quite large for a city hotel.
The breakfast was very good! The hotel is surrounded by a lot of neat places in Center City. The staff were very helpful, outgoing and friendly! Customer service was superb!
